Senior Specialist, Purchasing, SCM

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Provide best level of service in the process of forecasting, supply planning and purchase order placement, Good it transit tracking, stock availability and visibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Check order feasibility on range plan and manage forecast data in International Logistic System to secure factory’s capacity for our demand.
  • Ensure Purchase Orders are transferred to Global Procurement system within defined timelines covering demand and limiting excess stock to fulfill orders in line with customer expectations.
  • Manage projects related to purchasing and drive successful implementation of new and revised process and services for internal and external customers within market and global.
  • To provide support in submitting purchase orders in line with international logistics timelines for market / region, ensuring accurate on time deliveries in line with the company’s business plan.
  • Place all Purchase Orders with correct sizes and dates to meet the company business plan.
  • Action the minimum analysis report in line with the actions specified by Demand Planning and the timelines advised by Global Operations to provide overview.
  • Create stock transport orders to fulfill customer’s demand within short timeline.
  • Maximize the number of orders that are created as 1:1 links with sales orders to maximize the efficiency in purchasing.
  • Track all product in and advise Marketing where articles/sizes not bought.
  • Monitor on a weekly basis unconfirmed, changed, late outstanding orders for on time delivery management.
  • Update airfreight register to ensure concise and complete list available.
  • Ensure system reflects the correct shipping instruction and delivery date to prevent any retail intro delay.
  • Establish and maintain good communication and relationships with GOPS personnel
  • Run weekly checks and action to ensure consistency in delivery dates between the confirmation system and purchase orders.
  • Review aligned logistics reports and investigate where required to check discrepancy of inbound and prevent missing on time shipment.
  • Claim management for Shortage, Label and Quality issue to decrease product defects.
  • Handle escalated issue or ad hoc requests from Global Supply Planning.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • MS Office (Excel/Access; Outlook; Word; Powerpoint)
  • SAP experience preferable
  • Organized and Due sensitive way of working ability    
  • Capability to simplify complex matters and provide options
  • Fluent in English (oral and written): a good communicator

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent education required
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in supply planning (preferably in FMCG  Fashion industry)
