Senior SAP FI/CO Tech Consultant (m/f/d) Group Taxes

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technology Consultant to join our adidas team in Herzogenaurach as a Technical Owner of an SAP-based planning solution. As a member of central Tech team “Engineering SAP & Corporate - Planning” you will use your experience and knowledge to build, improve and own technical capabilities of our global “Integrated Planning” Product Area solutions. In your role you will work in close collaboration with challenging and fast paced SAP S/4HANA transformation and BI Data Lake implementation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Specialist advice

  • Actively maintains knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms
  • Provides detailed and specific advice regarding the application of their specialism(s) to the organisation's planning and operations
  • Recognises and identifies the boundaries of their own specialist knowledge
  • Collaborates with other specialists, where appropriate, to ensure advice given is appropriate to the needs of the organisation
  • Accountable for long-term product success from a technology point of view
  • Responsible for risk and dependency planning across teams
  • Responsible for IT budget planning and controlling the delivery

Relationship management

  • Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plan
  • Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information
  • Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management
  • Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships

Business analysis

  • Investigates operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes
  • Assists in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, and identifies options for consideration
  • Works with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests
  • Contributes to selection of the business analysis methods, tools and techniques for projects; selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches

Project management

  • Defines, documents and carries out small projects or sub-projects
  • Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
  • Applies appropriate project management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
  • Agrees project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
  • Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances
  • Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded

 Requirements definition and management

  • Contributes to selection of the requirements approach for projects, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
  • Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity
  • Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements.
  • Reviews requirements for errors and omissions.
  • Establishes the requirements base-lines, obtains formal agreement to requirements, and ensures traceability to source.
  • Investigates, manages, and applies authorised requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy.

Tech solution configuration

  • Assists in the design and configuration of technical solution and the systems testing of platform specific versions of one or more software products
  • Documents faults, implements resolutions and retests to agreed standards

If required: People Management / Resource Management:

  • Is involved in recruiting process and proposes support for hiring decision and pre-selection of candidates
  • Allocates the different work to the respective employees considering experience, complexity, workload and organizational efficiency
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of IT systems, data and analysis and team feedback and makes appropriate changes to meet business needs
  • Provides team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and GIT objectives

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 7-year experience in IT
  • 5 years of experience in relevant area
  • 2 years of experience in team management
  • Experience in applying Agile principles in team setup and solution delivery
  • Up to date with technology trends - especially in the SAP context. Own educated opinion on modern planning platforms
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following SAP Planning technologies: BW-IP, BPC or SAP Analytics Cloud. Ideally – with hands-on development experience
  • Managed critical elements and cross functional and regional project
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient spoken and written command of English
