Sr. Specialist, Profit Protection, Finance

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Position is integral to the on-going success of the company to protect and maximize profit by addressing all aspects of risk and loss related to company compliance and physical assets (e.g. stock, cash on different premises), including public and internal dishonesty, procedural failure, administrative error and wastage. 
Initiate and execute profit protection solutions in co-operation with Senior Manager Internal Controls & Profit Protection. 


Key Responsibilities: (In co-operation with Senior Manager Internal Controls & Profit Protection at all areas)


•    Retail Risk Assessment 
-    Support to review, assess and identify risk within the Retail environment (DTC). 
-    Reduce and mitigate risk with the implementation of comprehensive risk reduction strategies and countermeasures.

•    Retail Store Compliance Audits 
-    Conduct retail store compliance audits to ensure adherence/compliance to defined controls, policies and procedures (GSOM, Inventory Control, CIA). Adopting a risk-based approach to conduct store audits on defined ‘High Risk’ stores / locations. 
-    Support to analyze/report findings and ensure remediating actions/action plans are followed by Retail Management, and to provide detailed management reporting. 

•    Management of Retail Shrinkage  
-    Review, monitor and manage retail data (shrinkage/cycle counts/stock counts) affecting the P&L of retail stores (DTC) and develop, recommend and implement comprehensive countermeasures to eliminate or minimize losses.
-    Support to produce regular reports of Profit Protection


•    Perform Data Analysis 
-    For Point of Sale high risk transactions in Own Retail and eCom (e.g. shrinkage, post void/ return & exchange, staff discounts, etc.) using Data Analytics Tool to identify exceptions and fraud indicators and support to initiate reviews / investigations / management reporting. 
-    Support to utilize data provided, with emphasis on ‘shrink related’ data to identify high shrink store results and low audit scores. Shrinkage KPI's to be monitored and action plans created.

•    Retail / eCom Fraud Investigations
-    Support to conduct retail investigations ensuring compliance to investigation procedures & standards are adhered to in line with the Investigation Handbook and Profit Protection training available through the Investigation/Conversation Management courses and online training platform. Support to ensure accurate recording and workflow management of investigations within Case Management.

•    Internal Controls 
-    Support to conduct the annual Internal Controls System (ICS) testing (internal control reviews) of key controls incl. the mandatory documentation in Teammate.

•    Corporate Governance and Coordination with Global functions
•    Support coordination of Corporate Internal Audits as required and follow up on the audit reports to ensure timely and appropriate closure of issues identified.

•    Security Standards 
-    Ensure compliance to physical security standards on all Own Retail locations within DTC. Reinforce Profit Protection engagement with key DTC stakeholders at Global / Market level re: Security Standards.

•    Retail Health & Safety
-    Ensure compliance to defined H&S controls, policies and procedures. Timely follow up gaps identified to ensure remediating actions/action plans are followed by Retail Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

•    Functional: Experience of Profit Protection / Audit / Risk management / ICS Testing
•    Exposure: Finance, Audit, Investigations, Retail, Data Analysis
•    Strong analytical and numerical skills
•    Ability to work to achieve multiple targets with strict deadlines
•    Strong auditing/internal control skills
•    MS Office suite of products – Intermediate – advanced
•    Good communication skills in Korean & English
•    Ability to pay close attention to detail

 

Required Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

•    CIA/CPA/CMA qualification preferred 
•    University degree or adequate education level
•    Preferable above experiences over 3 years
