Assistant Manager Category Management Brand Partners

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • Drive success of STATEMENT and Y-3 across GCA within guidelines set by Global BUs
  • Play a critical role to support Statement team to drive brand direction, market heat and business growth

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the business success of STATEMENT/ Y-3 incl. setting forecasts, pricing, range size, Hard Launch Dates (HLDs), delivery and Sell-through (ST)
  • Partner with GCA OMNI buying team to plan STATEMENT/ Y-3 OTB and buy strategy for GCA
  • Analyze historical sell-through data to plan and react to deliver the best assortment for marketplace
  • Define channels/store segmentation for globally allocated products and manage conversations with cross-functional stakeholders (Channels, Franchise, Sales, e-Com and Marketing related functions) to ensure products land in the most optimized and premium manner
  • Support the line manager in interface between Global BU, GCA functions, and territories
  • Responsible for ordering samples sets etc.
  • Monitor systems and file management: Master Range File, HUBLIGHT, M-3 & RMA
  • Actively participate in departmental level trainings and development initiatives and activities
  • Performed as department business analyst to prepare and interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Support management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

  • Distinct track record of success and category management knowledge
  • Industry knowledge, across divisions—footwear, apparel and accessories with focus on sneaker culture.
  • Understanding of China market’s consumers, accounts, economic environment and commercial needs

  • Team player with high level of integrity & attention to detail
  • Proven working experience on data analyst or business data analyst
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Proactive personality and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong passion and curiosity on products

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in category management/product merchandising required, regional experience preferred
  • University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in marketing, merchandising and product creation
  • Sporting goods industry experience preferred
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese is a must
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Computer Skills including Outlook, Word, Excel (Pivot table, VLOOKUP), Powerpoint, etc.
  • Passion for sports and belief that through sports we have the power to change lives
