Designer Future of Style APP
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
• Develop on short calendars industry leading creative solutions in order to extend the category apparel collection for the China market and amplify relevancy, desirability of adidas brand image, from sell in to sellout (consumer-facing)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Steer Creative Activity
- Lead and participate in working groups to develop design concepts for product lines
- Produce strong communication assets to convey strategy and potential
- Ensure product aesthetic is aligned with creative vision across all creative and development touch point
- Advocate and inspire great ideas in product design and product development
- Drive creative vision of the team
- Submit design sketches and techpack to development team within specified deadlines
- Foster a strong network collaborative, cross functional relationships in house
- Lead and inspire team to create compelling, brand enhancing designs
2. Management
- Organize and monitor projects to ensure efficient workflow and workload management within the design team
- Lead and collaborate in all milestones to advise and challenge the product development process and ensure the highest quality standards
- Prepare and actively participate in validation committees
- Ensure adherence to design processes and standards
- Delegate and hold team accountable for meeting creative expectations and development lead-times
- Manage multiple capsules at a time with a strong sense of priorities
- Team development & provide Leadership and mentor staff, set goals, give feedback and guidance to increase individual and team productivity and professional growth
- Track the progress of projects and ensuring adherence to timelines
3. Innovation / Benchmarking
- Conduct trend studies and staying informed about industry innovations
- Monitor & analyze competitors and market trends
- Seek new processes and technologies
- Maintain a strong understanding of the market while ensuring technological advancements are integrated into the products
Key Relationships:
• Design Director/Senior Designer
• Product Marketing
• Product Development
• C2C
• External Creative Resources (agencies, freelancers, photographers, etc)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint: advanced /Outlook
• Design apps: expert
• Strong visual and verbal skills with the ability to create impactful/exciting visuals
• Art Direction of photoshoots, pre-press reviews and approvals
• Language: English: excellent
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• Under-graduate level Design education or combination thereof
• Solid education and advanced experience in the creative development of communication tools
• At least 4-6 years experience in Sporting Goods/Fashion Industry or Design on managerial level
• Proven experience with the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution, pre-press processes)
