Director, Supply Chain Management SEA

Purpose & Mission

  • Execute Mid & short term strategic planning for SEA country cluster in supporting the respective country business growth
  • Directing and controlling all aspects of SCM covering SEA DC operations ,OB Transportation, IB transportation function by closely working with 3PLs, Transporters and Freight forwarders and Customers brokers
  • Drive and Collaborate with 3PL on continuos improvements projects, efficicency improvements, SOP standardization, automation
  • Drive SEA S&OP planning by bridging and coolaborating with country GMS, finance directors, SEA DP and PS teams
  • Ensure and drive SCM teams to deliver SEA SCM costs within budget and meeting service and DC KPIs as per targets
  • Inspire and influence SEA SCM talent management
  • Drive various commerically driven SCM projects such ORT replenishment, Order to inventory modeling by closely working with crossfunctional teams

 

Key Functional Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

  • Execute Long term and mid term SCM strategy. Lead operations processes including budgetting and forecasting activity. Deliver enhanced services with process and cost efficiency.
  • Work with local SCM teams, PS teams and global logistics teams ensuring timely availability of products.
  • Drive SEA S&OP process by bridging and collaborating with country GMs, finance directors, SEA demand planning and Product supply teams
  • Collaborate with SEA DP, PS teams on overall SEA inventory position and drive and provide local SCM teams with valuable inputs from inventory meetings in order to drive local IMM meetings.
  • Prepare and present SEA SCM section in monthly inventory meetings along with DP and PS teams
  • Work and collate for SEA countries on yearly supply chain cost budget by taking into DC costs, Transportation costs, Customs clearance costs, by considering of inflation, 3PL rate card, Fuel assumptions etc
  • Work closely with SEA CI resource on continuous improvement implementation plans across SEA countries.
  • Periodic meetings with each country GMs, understand topline business priorities and ensure respective country SCM operations is geared up for the same, act as single point of contact for all country GMs and represent SCM function.
  • Work with commercial teams, demand planning and products supply teams on med/long term forecasting and work with local SCM team on overall capacity planning
  • Drive various commercial driven SCM projects (Agile supply chain) such as ORT replenishment, Order to inventory modeling etc 
  • Act as single point of contact for SEA intercompany transfers if any representing SCM and align sending country, commercial teams on timelines, billing commitments dates.
  • Deliver monthly and yearly SCM costs in line with budget.
  • Delivery SCM operational KPIs such as service levels to all channels, inventory integrity, IB KPIs, DC KPIs
  • Provide timely updates and escalations to Senior director SCM along with SEA SCM overview.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to remedy customer needs while improving compliance, minimizing operating cost, and effecting greater customer satisfaction. 
  • Manage all contracts related to outbound transportation ( B2B and LMD), customs brokerage, local PM supplies and work with internal and external stake holders to bring in innovation
  • Drive sustainability initiatives s in SCM in line with hub/regional/global goals.
  • Manage SEA SCM country operations teams and people management.
  • Liaise with local SCM, global risk management teams and external fire safety auditors and ensure all DCs are compliant as per company requirements. 

 

3PL /Transportation Management

  • Conduct quarterly QBR with 3PLs and transporters.
  • Drive CI/Innovation workshops with 3PLs and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with 3PLs in streamlining and standardizing processes and systems. 
  • Coordinate and drive 3PLs on various VAS activities in DC (Relabeling during inter company, pricing labels, if any, ORT related VAS in future, eCOM membership related VAS)

 

IB Customs

  • Work with country NTP and global customs in developing credible customs broker and inland haulage partners
  • Work closely with country SCM team in understanding customs complexity, manage and get support from global customs inline with country specific needs
  • Attend Quarterly/Semiannual QBR with customs brokers and develop continuous improvement plans in order to drive lead time reduction

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • University Degree / MBA preferably in Supply Chain / Logistics 
  • At least 15 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Supply Chain/ Logistics industry
  • Exposure in multinational companies, cross functional and multi-cultural environment with at least 5 years of leading big teams
