Software engineer - SRE

Key Responsibilities:   


  • Participate in daily call /scrum ceremonies with the project team to take hold of ongoing tasks and suggest improvement ideas wherever required 

  • Work / Participate in software/solution design discussions related to topics such as: 

  • Resilience 

  • Infrastructure 

  • Observability enhancements 

  • Security 

  • DevOps 

  • Defining SLI, SLO, and Error budget along with project team and setting up dashboards for the same 

  • Ops genie setup to define escalation policies and  addressing priority incident quickly 

  • Troubleshoot production incidents and perform problem management 

  • Adding/improving observability and alerting 

  • Building and standardizing tools 

  • Developing standards 

  • Sharing tools and standards with the team 

  • Monitor application using Grafana, Prometheus and Elasticsearch 

  • Perform SRE Maturity assessment and create backlog based on the same in alignment with product teams 

  • Mentor the team into the SRE practices

Requisite Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  


DevOps Mindset 

  • CI/CD pipelines (jenkins, travis, circle ci, azure devops)* 

  • Experience with automation in general 

  • Metricas, observabilidad (prometheus, grafana, new relic)* 

  • Terraform 

  • Experience with Kubernetes* 


Development skills 

  • Typescript, Javascript, Python, Java, POO* 

  • Knowledge in API REST* / SOAP (Legacy) 


Cloud providers: 

  • AWS* 

  • Azure

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:  


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, similar areas or equivalent in experience time 

  • Verifiable English Level 

  • Experience with on-call rotation models 

  • Experience with operational roles 

  • Knowledge in E2E software solutions
