Specialist, Buying (In-season trading)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Supporting Manager, Retail Merchandising in analyzing sales information, managing store inventory, inventory turn, and stock turn objectives. Ensure strong product sell-through rate at the point of retail.
Key Responsibilities
Functional
Ensure sufficient stock level in the stores. Coordinate with Marketing and Visual Merchandising team on key product launches. Provide product sell-through report with recommended action plan to improve the range offering in the stores.
- Ensure that all products are properly launched/shipped, handled, and displayed in the stores according to company standards.
- Create monthly product tracking reports according to regional direction, together with all other necessary reports. Provide analysis with action plan for improvement.
- Create weekly tracking sell thru for key campaigned articles and provide the action plan for improving sales.
- Ensure that all stores are properly merchandised. All merchandising and displays are in good conditions and in accordance with company standards.
- Establish strong coordination between retail and other departments ie Warehouse, Marketing, Sales, Finance in all product related matters.
- Manage inventory to ensure execution of action plans on fast- and slow-moving items.
- Responsible for the inventory movement between the stores, factory outlet and the warehouse through replenishment and rebalancing.
- Assisting visual merchandisers in planning store layouts to promote key lines.
People
- Provide effective product support to Store Operation team.
Controlling
- Tracking of own KPIs
Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Marketing or Economics
- 4+ years experience in buying or Category Management preferably in apparel/fashion/footwear industry
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- The experience of working in an international environment would be an advantage
