Specialist, Purchasing (Contract until 31/12/2022)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Provide a world class level of service relating to purchase order placement, tracking, availability and visibility.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To provide support in submitting purchase orders in line with international logistics timelines for market / region, ensuring accurate on time deliveries in line with the company’s business plan.
  • Blind buy excess review collaborates with demand planner to create the report/execute cancellation
  • Place accurate purchase orders, with given business model “buy to order”.(1:1 Links with sales orders)
    • Ensure purchase orders are transferred to GPS within timelines.(especially to pay attention on one shot buy)
    • Update the POs after being executed with GOPS on the minimum analysis report in line with the actions specified by Sales (FL/RG/Retails directly) and the timelines advised by GOPS.
    • Accelerate enhancement of direct shipment opportunity and coordinate SHAS/VAS requirement.
    • Run weekly checks and action to ensure consistency in delivery dates between the confirmation system and purchase orders.
    • Track all products in and advise relevant parties where articles/sizes not bought(link to Lead-time/flag management)
    • Communicate to customers where launch need to be moved due to late confirmation.
    • Identify the late orders and update late delivery code in SAP.
    • Track all products which are in risk for late due and request for priority shipment.
    • Execute confirmations on a daily basis.
    • Monitor on a weekly basis unconfirmed, changed, late outstanding orders.
    • Action all airfreight and sea-air requests with GOPS.
    • Update airfreight register to ensure concise and complete list available.
    • Ensure system reflects the correct shipping instruction and delivery date.
  • Review aligned logistics reports and investigate where required.
    • Forecast creation, upload into ILS in monthly basis.
    • Create stock transport orders if required.
  • Hard/soft launch coordination with project team.
  • GTS/WFM ticketing inquires to be checked in daily basis and respond within 24 hours.
  • Creation of own planning master file and maintain the accuracy.

•     Establish and maintain good communication and relationships with GOPS personnel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • MS Office (Excel/Access; Outlook; Word; PowerPoint)
  • SAP knowledge
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written): a good communicator
  • Detail Oriented

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent education required
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in supply chain and/ or sourcing, or footwear and apparel internationally.
