Sr Manager, CtC Consumer Experience (Basketball)

THE OPPORTUNITY

 

We are looking for Senior Manager, CtC Consumer Experience for Basketball in Los Angeles, CA. The Senior Manager, CtC Consumer Experience will serve as a lynch pin connecting Product Marketing, Brand Communications and CtC for adidas Basketball. They will drive consumer insights and research, influence storytelling at all touch points (cross-functional, consumers, markets, retailers), and orchestrate go-to-market plans for the business in collaboration with horizontal functions.

 

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILTIES

 

  • Generate and drive consumer insights for key concepts/seasonal stories including franchises in alignment with cross-functional team
  • Orchestrate storytelling for key concepts throughout a given season and across seasons, always putting the consumer first, but working closely with relevant stakeholders (BU CtC functions (Operations, GTM, Merchandising), Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Planning and Design)
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration and execution to secure holistic readiness for key concepts across key milestones
  • Drive deliverables for key concepts to present concept readiness to markets and win with Global strategy/concepts/stories.
  • Work closely with BU CtC functions (GTM, Operations and Merchandising) and cross-functional team to develop sell-in tools for VHO, GBC/GMM and support sell-out readiness with BM;
  • Drive focus on digital in the context of consumer experience across all touchpoints for seasonal stories/key concepts:  i.e. Global key milestones, Wholesale eCommerce, Social/Mobile, Own eCommerce
  • Manage and support annual / seasonal Basketball marketing calendar (Omni-channel calendar) for key concepts and coordinate BU BM and CtC Function teams
  • Drive digital and retail consumer journey across all channels
  • Drive alignment with horizontal teams/initiatives (i.e. Women, Primeknit, Parley, Advanced Creation) and ensure BU integration and relevance
  • Build and lead a highly engaged team and provide the platform for long term (multi-located & cross-functional) careers
  • Manage hiring for the team and assess all direct reports (setting personal objectives, targets and guidelines)
  • Mentor and develop functional and soft skills of direct reports
  • Project budget control as assigned

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

A strong fit for the role will have:

 

  • University degree or equivalent education/experience
  • 7+ years relevant experience in Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Retail Marketing
  • 2+ years managing direct reports
  • Advanced MS Office Tools including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Broad & deep knowledge about adidas global brand framework, processes and milestones
  • Consumer-centric mindset
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with/of diverse functions/teams
  • Strategic Thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to balance diplomatic and driving skills to achieve goals
