Sr. Director, Omni Inventory Management

Purpose: 
Directs the horizontal business inventory management function across all commercial channels building out the inventory plan to deliver on product availability and create on-going efficiencies in capacity and production planning. Ensures integrity and continuous improvement of the end-to-end process management of commercial inventory by collaborating with cross-channel partners and key stakeholders. Drives the financial rigor needed to make critical decisions on inventory, supply and demand to efficiently manage the sales inventory and operation for US commercial. 

 

Key Accountabilities:
•    Directs the team to develop and manage inventory plans across channels to execute long term, annual, and seasonal strategic targets. 
•    Strategizes cross functionally to optimize operational execution to drive sales performance and improvement of profitability with a primary focus on collaboration with Commercial Channel leads, Business Units, Demand Planning, Finance, and Strategy.  
•    Develop sustainable and profitable growth and healthy inventory productivity across Commercial channels by leveraging aligned open to buy strategy and joint planning processes.
•    Strategically identify potential opportunities or risk assessment against sellout/inventory plans developing actionable recommendations for execution and profit. 
•    Consistently monitor sales plan and budget to quantify and optimize inventory to sales goals. 
•    Develop a road map to manage the distribution and reduction of excess inventory between Commercial Channels to maximize profitability. 
•    Establish equitable product allocation by Commercial Channel, and in-season own shifts to maximize sales and profit to deliver against an ever-changing consumer environment along with planning team. 
•    Execute relevant global and local sales strategies to maximize full price sell through by strategic analysis in conjunction with shifting allocation, product supply, and inventory management. 
•    Create inventory levers and nimbleness to efficiently allocate product in season based on sell-thru to maximize full price sales.
•    Provide leadership and consultation for direct reports through the sharing of best practice techniques and mentoring fostering a people first culture.
•    Role model and live our Leadership Framework, drive on our ‘play to win’ culture through creativity, collaboration, and confidence.

•    Showcase compliance with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the adidas Fair Play Code of Conduct and other internal policies.

•    Excellent collaboration skills with proven project management skills both in approach and execution.

 

Qualifications: 
•    University degree in business administration with focus on Sales, MBA preferred
•    10 years of operational and strategic business experience 
•    Minimum 5 years of management experience 
•    Proven track record of influential leadership skills 
•    Industry-specific and global business experience preferred.
