Sr. Manager Business Development - Brand Strategy

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The Senior Business Development Manager will support key categories in the creation of Strategic Business Plans for Business Units within the NAM market. In addition, they will be responsible for managing and executing key projects that deliver tools and resources to support BU’s throughout the GTM process. This role will drive consumer, business, and market insights based on data and analytics that supports decision making for cross functional strategic initiatives.

 

Specific focus: Brand Strategy

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Support creation and implementation of Global Brand Strategy for select BU’s

· Long-term ambition of Brand for our consumer

· Vision, mission, purpose of Brand

· Measures of success (consumer driven and financial driven)

 

Support creation and implementation of Strategic Business Plans for key BU’s

· Lead and manage process and deliverables for key BU’s

· Deliver tools and resources to support improvement in strategic planning and GTM process

· Support Brand Director in ensuring alignment between BU and other channels

· Create tools to track and measure against key KPI’s within SBP for select BU’s

· Support BU’s and collaborate with Brand Director to embed insights into SBP and ensure business is putting the Consumer first with plans and GTM strategy

· Identify and socialize local business, market and consumer insights, and additional analytics based on state of category, industry, and competition

 

Support select BU’s in continuous improvement of key metrics through E2E process

· Understand and influence the consumer / customer drivers in brand forecasts that may impact our supply chain and P&Ls

· Create expert knowledge of franchises, and consumers for key BU’s to support Franchise management

· Support Director Brand Strategy to drive Implementation and responsibility for delivery of selected key initiatives / projects

· Collaborate with BU / Finance to understand and map risks and opportunities for BU to support financial forecasts. Connect IBP to SBP to ensure consistent financial reporting

 

Lead Analytics, Reporting and Executive Presentations to drive collaboration and decision making

· Identify key issues, structure problems, and deliver solutions that drive value creation

· Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, including financial modelling

· Manage regular cadence of reporting and synthesize key insights

· Work closely with Strategy Director and BU Directors to craft and align on communications, messaging related to business updates, financial strategy, forecasting, and E2E planning

· Prepare key presentations with strong storytelling for BU leadership and senior management

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

· Analytics and storytelling / influencing through data and insights

· Proven experience developing and executing short and long-term category strategies based on a thorough understanding of market conditions and trends

· Excellent management and leadership skillset, with experience as a people manager and leading cross-functional teams

· Ability to think on a strategic and operational level at the same time

· Extensive experience using internal / external data and insights to create profitable growth strategies

· Inspire, coach and lead; set framework for performance and growth

· Extensive knowledge of Sport/Style Industry including a vision of future opportunities and challenges

· Expert knowledge of P&L including ROI, and financial modelling

· Strong communication skills

· Excellent presentation skills

· Lead change management

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

· University degree in business / marketing or equivalent experience

· Min. 5 years in Consulting, CPG, Banking and/or Sport / Lifestyle / Fashion industry with focus on brand / marketing / merchandising

· Proven track record in business strategy, driving analytics, executive strategic presentations and project management

· Proven track record in managing team
