Sr. Manager SCM Global Pre-Season Deployment

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

adidas' Direct-to-Consumer business will represent the majority of our revenues by 2025 and we are expecting to have yearly double-digit growth the next years. Beyond sales, the impact we can create on every consumer thanks to Retail, eCom, Omni and Partner Programs is massive and unique.

 

The SCM Global Deployment Team will play a critical role in creating and setting the supply and demand allocation across our multi-node distribution center networks, to enable the optimal product flow from factory to consumer and ensure we can deliver to consumers when and how they want it.

 

Within the SCM Global Deployment Team, the Sr. Manager SCM Global Pre-Season Deployment will have the critical responsibility of helping set up the framing of pre-season deployment across all markets, supporting with ensuring guidelines, creating processes and briefing tools needed for pre-season optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

SCM Global Pre-Season Deployment Framework and Capabilities

 

  • Contribute significantly to defining data inputs to be used for pre-season deployment modeling and assumptions to be used for pre-season deployment plans across all markets
     
  • Support with setting up data connections that can be leveraged by global and markets for modeling purposes
     
  • Define elements of global template for how markets should use suite of pre-season deployment capabilities in collaboration with Global Product Owner Team
     
  • Partner with Global Product Owner Team, Advanced Analytics, DNA, IT and markets to define business requirements for elements of pre-season deployment optimization solutions

 

Performance Reviews and Best Practice Sharing
 

  • Support Director SCM Global Pre-Season Deployment with preparing materials for performance reviews with markets and sharing pre-season deployment results with relevant key stakeholders globally
     
  • Deep dive into selected best practices across markets, as well as across industries and competitors, and create global process documentation to support with implementing best practices in other markets
     
  • Drive selected and prioritized improvement opportunities

 

SCM Global Deployment Strategy and Success Measurement
 

  • Research industry & competitor trends, disruptive technologies and other advances to help Global Deployment leverage outside insights
     
  • Brief KPI tracking needs for pre-season deployment to relevant teams to support with setting and tracking targets and identifying actionable insights with associated root causes
     

Key Relationships:
 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders across adidas to secure implementation of the SCM Global Deployment roadmap
     
  • Stakeholders can relate to the following core functions:
    • Supply Chain Management Global and Market-Based Teams
    • Commercial / Sales (Omnichannel)
    • SCM Finance
    • Demand Planning
    • Advanced Analytics
    • Global IT
    • Global Operations
    • External Consultants (As Needed)

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Consumer mindset and strong business acumen
     
  • Business know-how of end-to-end supply chain management operations
     
  • Proven ability to leverage functional expertise to deliver results
     
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Manhattan WMS System and LLamasoft a plus, as well as strong MS Office knowledge (Excel/Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
     
  • Strong analytical and computation skills, and ability to root cause, problem solve and drive solutions
     
  • Proven collaboration skills and excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with different levels of seniority
     
  • Ability to mediate, convince and build consensus between cross-functional stakeholders with different objectives
     
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures
     
  • Business- and solution-oriented mindset
     
  • Ability to manage wide range of complex assignments and/or projects on a global-level, with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Retail and/or eCom
     
  • Self-starter with proactive mindset

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management from a College or University or equivalent combination of education and work experience
     
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in one or more Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance functions in a global company, ideally in the sporting goods industry
     
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree 
     
  • CPIM, Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or Experience in Agile Methodology is a plus
