Sr. Specialist Logistics

To accomplish operational activities of the customs department in order to offer a world class level of service and support relating to customs entries, declarations and duty management for all imports.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lean process for international shipments to ensure a dynamic on-time end to end inbound process.

 

  • Cargo tracking with freight forwarders and customs brokers.

 

  • Keep fluent communication regarding shipping with LAM Inbound HUB.

 

  • Keep fluent communication regarding deliveries with Availability team.

 

  • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of all customs entries and reports.

 

  • Maximise savings through SLA agreements and efficient duty management controls.

 

  • Be aware of any relevant changes on Customs Law to quickly adapt internal processes /procedures.

 

  • Develop new processes / procedures, present to management team and implement.

 

  • SAP inputs to maximise availability once cargo delivered.

 

  • Responsible for all customs declarations, per month duty and VAT payments                                                                                                                                                           
  • Cargo coordination to Free Zone when needed.

 

Key Relationships:

 

  • Internal: Inbound HUB; Order Fulfilment; Deconsolidation Center; Finance; Legal
  • External: Freight Forwarders; Customs Brokers; Free Zone warehouse.

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Broad and deep theoretical understanding of functional area:
    • Strong knowledge on Argentina customs law
    • SCM
    • Import shipments
    • Import documentation
    • SIRAS / DJCP for textile goods
    • Origin preferences and regulations (Dumping)
    • AFIP – MOA services
    • SAP (desirable)
    • Free Zone
    • Import duties

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in job or job function.
  • University degree on International Trade or equivalent education required.
  • Fluid English language oral and written.
