<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"AdihausDIN",sans-serif">Purpose:  The Operations Supervisor is a member of the Distribution Center management team. They will work to continuously optimize our DC operations by engaging with various stakeholders to improve operational metrics, and refine processes and remove waste from operations. This individual will be a strong people manager with the ability to effectively manage associates with varying levels of experience. The position requires someone who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.

 

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"AdihausDIN",sans-serif">Key Responsibilities: 

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Manage specific functional area in Distribution Center and be accountable for achieving all productivity and quality targets
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Train, manage and develop all DC associates
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Maintain full working knowledge of the WCS and WMS platforms
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Manage the collection, reporting and feedback regarding operations functions using SAP, excel, queries and WMS reporting
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Report on operations metrics to evaluate DC area performance in productivity, quality, and safety
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Create a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Maintain all OSHA safety standards including all reporting of accidents, injuries, damages, and potential threats to safety
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Direct efforts on having all associates maintain a safe and orderly working environment
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Help to lead Lean Six Sigma activities
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Other duties as assigned

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"AdihausDIN",sans-serif">Key Relationships:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Interface with Distribution Director and Transportation Director
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Facility Operations and Shift managers
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Area Operations and Forklift associates

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"AdihausDIN",sans-serif">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<span style="font-family:"AdihausDIN",sans-serif">:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience operating in high-volume distribution operations.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to effectively and efficiently interact with associates and senior DC management team.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Strong analytical and data manipulation skills. Proficient use of Microsoft office applications
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The job requires extensive walking and standing on hard surfaces
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to ten (10) hours/day
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
