Stockroom Specialist - Back Of House, Sydney Brand Centre (Full Time)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

- The Stock Room Specialist – Back Of House, Sydney Brand Centre supports the Assistant Store Manager – Back Of House in all Stockroom Operational needs and delivers a Premium Stockroom Model for our Store Team. A Halo store is the pinnacle of the adidas Retail experience for adidas consumers as it relates to sales & customer service, people, training & product knowledge, operations, visual merchandising & activation.

- Supports the day-to-day Brand Centre Stockroom Operations with Logistics, Inventory Management, and Stock to Floor Service for products to provide a premium in-store consumer experience.

- Supports store management team by providing feedback on the required resources within the store to achieve all Stockroom Operational needs and to deliver and maintain a Premium Stockroom Model.

- Represents the adidas brand/company brands and products in an inspiring and impactful way. Amplifies the brand with every decision and every action.

- Drives and ensures compliance with Global Retail operational directives, processes, policies and standards within the store back of house, proposing ideas and solutions to build a world-class Brand Flagship Store.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Commercial Success:

 

- Supports leadership team to achieve sales, membership, expenditure, and profit targets.

- Demonstrates accountability for store performance by maximizing the allocation of resources and executes processes to drive profitability and efficiency.

- Seeks opportunities to build relationships and partner with other entities to enhance the exposure of the business to positively impact the net sales and brand equity within the marketplace.

 

Operations:

 

- Works in collaboration with the Assistant Store Manager – Back Of House to secure a Back Of House that is compliant with business Occupational Health & Safety requirements and ensures that all incidents are reported through the Incident Reporting tool.

- Facilitates and maintains the Back Of House space for the business focus on Omnichannel Services such as Click & Collect and Ship from Store, maximizing efficiencies, productivity, and service.

- Ownership and maintenance of a stock room layout that reflects best practices and inventory performance (best sellers/black holes).

- Liaises with Assistant Store Manager – Back Of House and Assistant Store Manager - Operations to communicate inventory needs and provide consistent feedback.

- Supports and coordinates the receiving process for deliveries, collaborating with Assistant Store Manager – Back Of House and Assistant Store Manager - Operations to maximize resources appropriately for efficient receipt.

- Processes deliveries quickly and accurately, adhering to stock protection procedures.

- Prepares merchandise for replenishment to ensure the store’s entire product offer is available on the shop floor.

- Ensures adequate supplies to create an effective stockroom environment and continually maintains this (including all merchandise) within and around the vicinity.

- Supports in the completion of the HR processes for onboarding and offboarding Back Of House employees of the store, while ensuring all HR policies and procedures are adhered to.

- Raises any maintenance requests for the Back Of House with the Assistant Store Manager – Back Of House and Assistant Store Manager - Operations to secure timely completion by external suppliers and store development team.

 

Inventory:

 

- Sustains integrity of inventory within the store through undertaking weekly inventory cycle counts, efficiently and accurately reporting and adjusting inventory variances within aLS, and achieves shrinkage targets of <1% within bi-annual stocktakes.

- Scores within the range of 90% - 100% on the internal Profit Protection audit checklist undertaken by the Manager, Internal Control & Profit Protection.

- Undertakes monthly House of Retail Level Up checklist and operates the Back Of House at a consistent “Great” level twelve months per year.

- Accurately and efficiently closes out all end-PLC (Product Life Cycle) products at REDs (Retail Exit Date) as communicated by Retail Merchandising to designated Factory Outlet stores within Australia.

- Transfers accurately and efficiently to other Concept Stores within Australia according to requirements as communicated by Retail Merchandising.

 

People:

 

- Supports a culture of inclusion and positivity through open feedback and living the adidas values within the Back Of House team.

- Provides support to the Assistant Store Manager – Back Of House on the HR planning, recruitment, on-boarding, training, and development initiatives while ensuring all HR policies and procedures are adhered to.

- Manages the performance of Back Of House team members with behavioural challenges in an efficient timeframe through collaboration with appropriate Human Resources stakeholders.

- Communicates a desire to learn and seizes all available opportunities to drive own development and increase performance.

 

Knowledge, Capabilities, and Experience:

 

- English spoken and written (additional languages are a bonus).

- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a customer - and commercial-focused (preferably branded) retail warehousing environment.

- Leads from the front and demonstrates an inspirational attitude that contributes to a positive team environment.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying size.

- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key/cross-functional stakeholders and team members along with willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance.

- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

- Technologically adept, with high proficiency with systems, and software packages including MS Excel.

- Knowledge and understanding of store KPIs to make commercial decisions based on sound financial judgment.
