Assistant Manager Retail Business Planning

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:

This role is responsible for formulating the Retail business planning and forecast, developing sales plan & analysing the Retail performance in the market for growth potential, as well as providing data and analytical support to enable strategic business decision making.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Forecasting

  • Develop accurate monthly forecast. Prepare monthly and yearly retail sales RFC, ensure retail business on track with targets
  • Monitor sales target and ensure the operating expenses and capex in line with budget
  • Prepare the budget and closely monitor the P/L of own retail
  • Monitor the budget and expenses for own retail sales force

 

Sales Reporting & Analysis

  • Conduct sales analysis, store productivity review and retail sales achievement analysis in a timely and accurate manner
  • Identify key issues on business performance and draws conclusions by analyzing and comparing data; including but no limited to the competitor intellgence
  • Analyse sales trends & performance in the market quantitatively & qualitatively
  • Present findings in professional manner
  • Provide various reports with high accuracy & quality

 

Systems and Process

  • Manages retail development research and reporting process
  • Provides input to and participates in the design of adidas strategies in relation to retail development.
  • Provides budgetary input for all the retail shops and retail staff
  • Lead and manage the Business Plan Model (BPM) process for own retail stores
  • Support on any ad-hoc requests as assigned

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • More than 7 years of experience in Business Planning with leading consumer goods/retail experience
  • University degree
  • Great written and spoken English
  • Excellence in Microsoft office suites particularly on Excel and Powerpoint skills (think-cell function)
  • PowerBI capabilities and reporting preferred
  • Good presentation skills
  • A passion for and an understanding in Sports
