Assistant Manager, Forklift TJDC

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • Assist Manager to drive the achievement of all equipment task  (include put away & Retrieval)  to reach agreed Service levels so as to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead team to reach efficiency/cost/SLA (service level agreement) KPI target.
  • Training team staff to follow company safety policy (EHS) to create a safety environment.
  • As one of super users to join super user training and UAT testing, meanwhile offer key inputs to the training and testing result.
     

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning
  • Work together with AM of wave release & monitor and other IB&OB AM closely to work out task sequence, according to different work load of trucks to balance man power and equipment, ensure IB cargo to be put away on right location with high efficiency , and OB all tasks to be fulfilled just in time, the unique purpose is to fully use equipment capacity and meet delivery schedule. 
  • Coordinate with equipment Vendor to work out equipment regular maintenance plan and monitor the plan to be executed under agreement.
  • Management
  • Management the equipment team to fulfill Put away and retrieval task, coordinate IB&OB team to sequence equipment task priority to ensure both the put away and retrieval task to be fulfilled on schedule.
  • Work together with IE AM for equipment repair and maintenance in terms of cost control
  • Support DC IB manager to create more workable and practical team KPI target and lead the team to be excellent.
  • System and Processes
  • Develops, coordinates, and maintains a system for identification, evaluation of team and employee productivity rates utilizing MA systems tools and reports.
  • Have enough knowledge for WMS/WCS system, special the wave release logic must be very familiar, Well understand the logic of WMS/WCS, which support daily operation. Familiar with distribution center process, always struggle for continuous improvement team operation efficiency and saving cost.
  • People Management
  • Well management equipment team, good communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Instruct and monitor equipment team to ensure equipment and staff safety.
  • Develop people, build an efficiency and high quality and cost saving team
  • Lead and manage team staff to learn and execute company policy special the EHS policy to build up a safety environment for every one.

 

  • The responsibilities are not limited to the above, the job holder will also follow other work assigned by his/her immediate supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Reading and Writing of English capability.
  • Familiar with WMS system is preferred
  • Good communication skill
  • Stable personality, Customer-driven orientation, Teamwork
  • Competency with Excel, Word, PPT, Access and MS Project is required

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • College or above education background.
  • 2 years warehouse background is needed, auto or semi-auto distribution center experience is preferred.
  • 2 years related experience on shift leader or above position.
