Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: 

Support the adidas Japan Go-To-Market (GTM) process for adidas. Help to lead the GTM process through the creation and management of a seasonal business models. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  1. Milestone and Calendar Management 

  • Assist to ensure the GTM Process runs smoothly for adidas Japan 

  • Assist to develop plans for increasing speed to market programs together with the cross-functional teams. 

  • Assist to manage and maintain the overall Japan roadmap for adidas 

  • Assist to lead the GTM process through the creation and management of a quarterly/seasonal business models 

                 Understand market dynamics & engineer business process to achieve new business models 

                 Assist to develop plans for increasing speed to market programs together with the cross functional teams 

                 Plan with all relevant functions the alignment of seasonal / quarterly range calendars and key meetings 

                 Assist to lead the GTM process through the creation and management of a seasonal business model 

                 Act as a liaison between marketing, sales, retail, eCom, Operations, Finance, Demand Planning and Creation Centre Tokyo to implement GTM strategies 

                 Provide platform for discussing, implementing, and measuring GTM initiatives 

                 Execution of strategic initiatives according to agreed timelines 

 

  1. Quarterly Trade Show Operation 

Assist to develop plans for increasing speed to market programs together with the cross-functional teams. 

  • Assist to ensure and encourage creative execution of Trade Show event in line with adidas Brand Standards 

  • Work closely with Wholesale(WHS) and Brand Activation(BA) to ensure any visuals used in the Trade Show are on message and seasonal 

  • Ensure full cross-functional alignment with key stakeholders from WHS, Consumer to Concept, Marketing Operations and others 

  • Strongly negotiate to ensure adidas is always receiving the best service from agencies and manage all costs effectively 

  • Assist to manage the yearly Trade Show budget in order to successfully execute up to 4 Trade Show event per year 

 

  1. Sell-in tool management 

  • Assist to manage Sample and Digital Catalogue to be appropriately executed throughout the season. 

                  Assis to oversee the seasonal execution of sample ordering and management 

                  Assist to oversee the sample budget and manage the delivery process 

                  Leverage digital tools to track and report sample process status 

                  Assist to oversee the quarterly execution of digital catalogues utilized during the sell-in meetings 

                  Ensure timely and accurate information flow to digital catalogues 

 

  • Assist to manage all elements of the Sell-in tool used in Trade Show for customers to provide better understanding of the product and range. 

                  Gather all sell-in contents provided by Global and customize for Japanese customers to well understand incl. edit, translation. 

                  Plan and create local contents by working closely with WHS and BU, and agencies. 

                  Strongly negotiate to ensure adidas is always receiving the best service from agencies and manage all costs effectively. 

 

  1. Ad Hoc and non-Trade Show Event Management 

  • Work cross-functionally with other groups to utilize the event space when required for events such as all-employee meetings, special internal events and special guest appearances

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Approx. 2-3 years in sporting goods or related industry 

  • Advanced in English 

  • Fluency in Japanese 

  • Communication / Negotiation 

  • International mindset 

  • Project management skills 

 

Requisite Education / Qualifications:  

  • University Degree (BS, BA, or equivalent) 

  • Advanced PC Skill (MS Access/ Excel / Word / Powerpoint) 

  • Proven track record of success in Marketing, Retail, or Sales in an international business environment.  Strong process / project management and relationship management skills
