Manager Brand Communications / Brand Activation APAC, adidas Golf

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

The Brand communication manager is accountable for building the strategic marketing communication plan for Japan and APAC along with the brand calendar and overseeing all related activities for Japan.  This role demands a pragmatic mindset to enhance digital channel performance, craft compelling content, and seamlessly collaborate with stakeholders to align efforts with business objectives. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop strategic plans for the marketing communication concepts and messages.
  • Deep understanding of the Global brand calendar and modifying it into the APAC calendar in the APAC brand POV together with a senior manager and MD stakeholders.
  • Attend the meeting held at adidas golf head office in Carlsbad (GTMSO) and actively join the discussion for future brand activation. 
  • Ensure that effective and considerate feedback is provided to GOLF HQ whenever requested.  Lead the APAC team and consolidate all requests.   
  • Adapt global creative and localize it with an effective Japanese tagline.
  • Photoshoot and develop marketing creatives assets for APAC exclusive products aligned with global adidas creative direction.  Deliver them to APAC and JPN.
  • Responsible for managing and supervising marketing assets both sell-in and sell-through.
  • Ensure efficient execution plans within the scope of the allocated MWB budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance customer experience, drive e-commerce sales, and boost brand visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure top-notch execution within set timelines and budgets.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the in-store activities and report the situation to the responsible team and relevant functions.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of our competitors' activities vis-à-vis the responsible account and report to the responsible team and relevant functions.
  • Oversee digital advertising performance, including bidding strategy, messaging, creatives, planning, and performance reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Brand Marketing experience/knowledge minimum of 5 yrs
  • Creative production management experience with a minimum of 5 yrs
  • Understanding and knowledge of Wholesale business
  • Willing to travel overseas
  • Passion for and understanding of sports and GOLF
  • Strong supervisory, analytical, and research skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and formulate action plans, including prioritization, expected outcomes, and scheduling within budget constraints.
  • Proficient in presenting analyses, and action plans and obtaining smooth alignments/sign-offs.
  • Capability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders in Japan and the APAC region.

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree
  • Business-level proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Fluent in Japanese.
