Senior Manager DPC Partner Development Wholesales

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Be responsible for developing and scaling innovative solutions to improve adidas online business performance with account partners
  • Build a mechanism to improve the business process for Japan WHS team to operate regular work effectively and efficiently
  • Drive the implementation of innovative solutions, developed by the Global Digital Partner Commerce Department
  • Be the key point of contact in Japan WHS team and lead various projects to build an effective process while interacting with internal/external stakeholders across the globe
  • Leading the digital agenda across the market organization together with Market and Cluster Digital stakeholders to increase digital knowledge and experience
  • Communicate with internal various teams such as marketing, business planning, adidas eCOM team to drive online adidas credibility


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive digital transformation by researching various effective business tools to best-fit to team operations and adopting these to improve a process by removing manual tasks such as Excel work for all employees in Japan WHS, and work together with IT team to build SAP
  • Implementation of a new analytics model and ownership of road map including Japan-specific ones, which is related to sell-in/sell-out, market trend, consumer journey, search word trend, and so on – for instance, using Power BI, GA4, and text mining tool, Talkwalker
  • Be a point of contact for Japan WHS team and global DPC team and a diverse set of internal stakeholders in Japan to build a mechanism to adopt new digital tool smoothly to Japanese business partners (e.g tool implementation for smooth and/or automated download contents from adidas data base which are related to online business such as images, size-chart, and consumer review)
  • Give tools implementation guidance cross-functionally and continue to monitor the progress and results to remove potential roadblocks
  • Lead education and upskilling on relevant digital tools and initiatives across the Global DPC organization & account teams for GKA (Pure Players & Omni accounts)
  • Update and feedback on tools and automation to appropriate stakeholders ensuring continuous improvement
  • Input into new initiatives across the organization - DBC & DA (e.g. Memberships, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills related to digital and/or eCommerce, ideally including system Integration
  • Basic to advanced Microsoft Office skills and GA4
  • Advanced Power BI and SQL skills, and proficiency in spreadsheet analysis. Self-motivated and passionate about deriving business insight from data, improving business processes, and solving problems. 
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High knowledge of digital tools to improve operational processes (e.g. familiarity with various AI tools)
  • Deep understanding of online retail business (e.g. Sales, Web design, Customer Service, Systems)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (interest in technical and business eCommerce projects a must).
  • Quick to learn new systems and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills in an international environment (e.g. communication, negotiation)
  • Business level English and fluent Japanese for writing and speaking 
  • Knowledge of programming, especially Python is preferred


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Business-level English
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in project management in the digital area and improvement of business processes through the implementation of new digital tools
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience related to business development
  • Business experience in Online Sales/Marketing or Digital platform (, Rakuten, Amazon, Zozotown, Yahoo, etc.)
