The opportunity 


We’re looking for a User Experience Researcher to join our Zaragoza-based Global Digital User Research team. 

The Global Digital User Research (GDUR) team at adidas is responsible for informing cross-functional stakeholders to develop high-quality product solutions and user experiences. Our focus is exploring and identifying our consumers’ intents and related needs, expectations, and desires. These efforts culminate in valid, reliable, and objective insights for our teams. Our output is certainty in the decision to be made and the actions to be taken.

As a User Experience Researcher, you will work closely with Product Owners and UX Designers to guide every step of the product development process through user insights. We’re looking for people who feel at home in a fast-paced e-commerce environment and are comfortable with context-switching across various initiatives and audiences.


Key responsibilities: 

-    Manage (and conduct research) the research needs for your direct embedded team, suggesting the best approach and methods to use so we’re capturing the right insights that help us grow and develop our product
-    Collaborate with stakeholders: UX designers, Product Owners, and UX writers to gather insights, build consensus around user needs and deliver solutions.
-    Inform and evaluate product solutions iteratively to make them more valuable to our users. 
-    Communicate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and verbal presentations.  


You’re a good fit for the role if:

  • You have +3 years of experience as a user researcher in an e-commerce environment, with a broad research toolkit and a strong awareness of the merits and weaknesses of different approaches.
  • You’ve got hands-on experience with exploratory and evaluative qualitative research methods.
  • You've worked in a multidisciplinary team environment before, where you made a demonstrable impact on the direction of the product or experience.
  • You appreciate robust research study design but can also consider practical constraints and business goals to be still able to deliver quality insights
  • You’re a strong communicator and facilitator. You’re able to tell a story so your audience will want to listen to and zoom into detail when needed to help solutions come to life.
  • You value collaboration and are at your best when you’re part of a team.

Bonus points for:

  • You have experience working with both native apps & web
  • You’re familiar with quantitative research and understand how user research helps shape metrics and drive teams toward success
