VP Product Operations - Football (m/fd)


Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

Lead and steer a dynamic industry-leading product creation organization for the assigned, global product categories. Contribute through innovation and excellence in product development to reach the financial targets and KPI’s of the Brand and ultimately contribute to the overall Company goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and steer the Product Operations vision and strategy
  • Proactively analyse and identify commercial opportunities and co-plan with the Sen Management team from Marketing and Design the concept realization within the cross functional teams
  • Drive innovation, quality excellence and improvement across the product categories
  • Align and prioritize the Product Operations vision and strategy within the organisation with Apparel and Footwear Operations
  • Drive cost effectiveness and make a financial impact through a clear focus on the commercial drivers
  • Together with Sourcing and SCM ensure that the sourcing landscape can fulfil the adidas brand organization needs and drive the adidas brand profitability through efficient allocation
  • Monitor and identify future trends in the industry and give new impulses to the organisation
  • Lead and steer brand initiatives and deliver benefits to them
  • Continuously identify and analyse opportunities and programs to become a faster and efficient organisation
  • At the most senior level, create respectful, collaborative, and productive partnerships – Marketing, Design, Sports Marketing, Markets, HR and Finance
  • Form the appropriate structure to be able to manage the organization effectively, identify and develop the future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions
  • Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training and development of direct reports and all staff
  • Manage and operate the departments within the agreed budgets
  • Act as a role model in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the adidas Fair Play Code of Conduct and other internal policies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience in Development, Sourcing and SCM
  • Proven experience and deep understanding of Marketing and commercial drivers
  • End to End Understanding and Thinking of the whole value chain
  • Deep understanding of the different consumer groups
  • Intercultural experience on global level
  • Proven record of leadership and accomplishment in a multi-national environment
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
