Senior Sales Director (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

  • Ensure sustainable and profitable market share and net sales growth in Zone East
  • Recommend and implement the short, medium and long-term commercial strategy and plans to best develop the brand and wholesale business within Zone East

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Own the implementation of the Zone WHS strategy in accordance with the Europe WHS strategy.
  • Drive development and execution of the strategic plan to achieve net sales targets and market share maximization.
  • Drive the implementation of the EU strategic initiatives at key cities, with key customers and in key categories according to relevant key city activation program, ensuring the best representation of the adidas Group brands.
  • Drive further the marketplace transformation and drive Digitalization in our Business and with Sales Team
  • Establish and maintain strong and long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Translate the EU commercial strategies and ambitions into functional targets for the WHS Sales department and measure performance on the set KPIs. 
  • Recommend and implement the best trade terms and condition in coordination with WHS guidance.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the zone/cluster go-to market strategy.
  • Ensure full compliance of the trading relationships.
  • Lead, continuously improve and develop key sales and customer service processes to provide excellence in service and efficiency in the organization
  • Be an active member of the cluster management team in all cross-functional matters
  • Contribute to development of the European Sales Strategy and policies within the SD community and represent the interests of the zone / Cluster
  • Ensure all Sales departments comply to Central Cluster / European sales strategies, policies and best practices
  • Own and drive the monthly sales forecast process in line with Central Europe business planning process

  • Inspire, lead and drive a performance culture within the sales team
  • Recruit and develop sales and customer service organization to achieve all relevant targets and to provide best in class service
  • Set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all reports

• Manage key talents' career and succession planning

• Develop the functional and core skill of direct reports through regular 1-2-1’s coaching and  

   mentoring

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Degree and minimum of at least 10 years working experience including a Front-Line Sales experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, mostly in Sales, while Marketing experience is appreciated, including sports, fashion or FMCG
  • At least 7 years of experience in managing people (also virtually) and international background
