Assistant Manager Pricing EU eCom - Temp 6 months

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Sitting in the EU eCommerce Product Merchandising team, part of the EU eCom Planning & Trading team, the Pricing team leads and drives assortment and pricing for Non-Full Price and Commercial moments.

This role is focused on maximizing sales, profitability, and sell-through by managing:

  • Holistic pricing strategy across all product categories in eCommerce, ensuring alignment with brand strategy while achieving financial goals (net sales, margins, markdown, and inventory targets).
  • Product lifecycle management, with an emphasis on planning and executing major commercial campaigns (e.g. end-of-season sales, Black Friday).

As the Assistant Manager Pricing, you will help translate financial plans into relevant commercial assortments and execute them. You will play a key role within the Buying, Planning & Trading department, while also driving real-time, in-season trading by turning assortment and consumer insights into actionable strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the planning and execution of commercial campaigns from an assortment and pricing perspective, including lookback analysis, article selection support, discount recommendations, volume inputs, and overall range readiness for Monthly Commercial Moments (MCM).
  • Assist with the execution of promotional trading levers and contribute to the setup and monitoring of all onsite promotions with product implications.
  • Conduct competitor pricing checks to help inform pricing and markdown strategies, ensuring accuracy and consistency across digital touchpoints for both full-price and non-full-price assortments.
  • Maintain and update operational pricing and promotion processes, including pricing checks, MD (markdown) processing, voucher eligibility validation, and accurate application of premium flags.
  • Collaborate closely with Buying, Planning & Trading and wider eCom teams to ensure smooth cross-functional alignment during campaign preparation, seasonal launches, and assortment transitions such as outlet handovers.
  • Support performance visibility across non-full-price areas by contributing to reporting on price, margin, markdown effectiveness, and stock levels, providing insights to key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Analytics and global digital teams to support the maintenance and enhancement of pricing and promotional tools, improving operational efficiency and execution quality.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc pilots, new process tests, and operational initiatives to support continuous improvement across pricing and promotional workflows.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Passionate about product, deep knowledge of merchandising and retail topics and broad knowledge of other functional areas relevant from a buying, planning, trading and product creation process. 
  • Knowledge and passion for Sports, global fashion, sneakerhead, hype, fashion influencer market. 
  • Understanding of key assortment and digital KPIs (e.g., Traffic, AOV, PDP views, CVR, ROS, Markdown depth, Sell Through, …), their interconnected nature and what levers to drive to improve performance is a plus. 
  • Self-motivated and passionate about deriving business insight from data, improving business processes, and solving problems.  
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in spreadsheet analysis, Power Bi data visualization tool is a plus. 
  • Organizational and planning skills to handle multiple tasks and business partners. 
  • Solution-oriented with a focus on achieving results. Quick to learn new systems and tools. 
  • Highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to work in deadline driven environment. 
  • Good PowerPoint skills coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • BA / BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field 
  • 1+ Years of overall work experience 
  • Fashion / Sporting Goods Industry experience is a plus 
  • Previous experience within an ecommerce, retail, products, merchandising environment or equivalent experience is a plus 
  • Ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional matrixed environment
