Director SCM Strategy Execution
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Manage all European Supply Chain Management responsibilities related to the strategic process, development, implementation, and execution of an SCM Strategy. The SCM strategy must complement the commercial strategic direction, enabling SCM to be seen as an indispensable partner for future business success. As part of strategy execution, expectation is to own EU SCM programs, project portfolio and ensure delivery of major change initiatives across functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the identification and prioritization of Europe SCM project portfolio. Ensure business cases, timelines and deliverables are in line with Europe SCM and business objectives. Partner with project management resources to deliver projects on time, on budget and with quality.
- Direct the development of the suite of supply models required to optimize the Supply Chain with regards to availability, cost, inventory and service. Support the application to other regional markets.
- Primary SCM business partner for Europe Sales Operations and Business Development counterparts. Coordinating development of end-to-end supply chain solutions to deliver increasing value to customers and support top & bottom line sales growth.
- Own EU SCM programs, project portfolio and ensure delivery of major change initiatives across functions.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a 3-year rolling strategic roadmap for the Europe SCM organization.
- Develop strong working relationships and communication lines across the complete supply network, ensuring effective communication and consistency between expectations and capabilities.
- Provide training, coaching, and professional growth for direct. Model the Leadership Framework and nurture others to do the same.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain principles and functional operating practices.
- Ability to formulate and socialize a strategy based on fact and analysis and translate it into action.
- Managing and prioritizing a portfolio of several projects
- Develop trusting and collaborative relationships with operational partners
- Able to interact and influence at the highest levels of the market organization and potentially with adidas Group customers
- Exemplary presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong team player with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives
- Ability to coach, guide, manage and develop direct & indirect reports and team members across multiple locations
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University level degree, usually in Business or Engineering, required. MBA a plus
- 10+ years of supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions, operations experience is preferrable
- 5 years of leadership and team management experience
- Background in FMCG or packaged goods industry and/or strategic and supply chain consulting
- Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting & distribution execution for a broad product range across multiple locations
- Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Operations or Inventory Management a plus
