Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • As Manager Platform Operations within the adidas Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) and e-com organizations, you will play a crucial role in delivering one of the company’s biggest transformational programs (ERP-system migration), called TR4M (“TRANSFORM”).
  • The TR4M-program is one of adidas’ key strategic initiatives and aims to upgrade some of the core systems and processes underpinning our business to ensure our tools and operations are future-proof and ready to support us to achieve our growth ambitions.
  • The TR4M program spans across all our sales channels, including Retail, Wholesale and Digital/E-com. In this role, you will be supporting the Digital/E-com channel.
  • Besides T4RM, the Manager Platform Operations will support the development of the Partner Program (marketplace business model) sales channels within our Digital Partner Commerce business & eCom business Fulfilment models in Europe and be instrumental in challenging, designing and improving operational processes that help us deliver on our company strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders in the different functions throughout the company.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Your core responsibility is to drive the Testing & Training workstream for our Digital Partner Commerce and e-com channels. Coordinating, executing, pushing and tracking Testing & Training activities in cooperation with the TR4M (ERP) project team and the respective business functions are a few examples of what is expected from this role.
  • Your objective is to ensure that the system landscape changes that come with TR4M (ERP) are duly tested and validated so we can successfully launch the program, and our Digital Partner Commerce and e-commerce consumer journey and internal operational processes can continue to flow with excellence.
  • You will have exposure to the end-to-end Digital Partner Commerce and e-commerce flows and are tasked to ensure we maintain smooth, seamless journeys all the way from the moment a consumer places an order online till delivery of the order and all post-sales processes. This means you will be the spider in the web owning the E2E flows, interfacing with all the different internal functions that are each responsible for a piece of the puzzle (such as Fulfilment Operations and Partner Operations teams, Finance, Risk Management, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Order management Team, Consumer Service team).
  • You add value by ensuring all tests, tools, processes and trainings are delivered on-time, with quality and in line with expected business outcomes. Starting with defining of test cases, followed by order placements and validation of the complete cycle until returns being processed.
  • You will manage and translate the adidas needs related to TR4M (ERP) to external tech and service partners (middleware providers) and ensure prioritization on needed developments on their roadmaps. Delivery system enhancements and significant change requests within boundaries of time, cost & quality. Examples consist of price feed changes and potential order-flow feed changes.
  • Support Partner Program Platform Growth team & translate testing requirements and timelines on TR4M (ERP) into future partner roadmap and enhancement pipeline.
  • Alongside driving Testing & Training activities for the TR4M-project, you support the Digital Partner Commerce and e-com Fulfillment teams with supporting day-to-day issue resolution for existing capabilities and features with operations and product teams, by identifying, logging, and tracking issues that impact the customer delivery and return experience. Support on challenges with E2E order flow, order status flow, reporting, consumer email communication, data on labels and overall validity issues impacting consumer journey. Support projects in new system implementation by ensuring a proper risk mitigation plan, full control of order flow and lead the coordination of issue resolution (status, reporting, data on label, etc.) and identify issues that will impact our customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Extremely strong organizational, communication & planning skills - flexibility to handle multiple tasks and business partners. Ability to work in deadline driven environment. Strong Project Management skillset required
  • Experience working with stakeholders at various seniority levels as well as subject matter experts across various functions (developers, business stakeholders, product and marketing teams, etc.)
  • Focused on achieving results & confident to take on accountability to deliver to expectations.
  • Advanced analytical skillset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational process mapping. Experience in e-com, ideally across multiple areas in the e-com journey
  • Pro-active approach to work & a go-getter mindset
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively – proven ability to navigate and be effective in matrix organizations.
  • Dynamic and adaptable – can quickly and effectively assimilate and drive change, quick to learn new systems and tools Understanding of IT landscape is a plus.
  • Experience with Change Management & ERP-system knowledge, Testing & User Training
  • Strong understanding of an organization fulfilment strategy & fulfilment challenges. Experience in the e-com order management, fulfilment and post-sales areas is a plus.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • BA / BS in Business, Supply Chain, Economics or related field
  • 4-5 years professional experience (experience in digital/eCommerce, business development, operations, logistics, or finance).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; at least one other European language would be beneficial.
