Senior Director SCM EU Omni-Channel Deployment
The Senior Director, SCM EMEA Omni-channel deployment will have the critical responsibility of providing cross-functional direction and leadership to optimize utilization of Supply Chain Inventory Flow / Product Flow process and E2E Supply Chain Planning for market EU, to ensure aligned strategies and execution between the EMEA SCM and internal channel management teams to drive successful achievement of business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Oversees the strategies and operations of the following teams and areas of responsibility within each function to ensure successful execution of team charters, key performance indicators, and other business targets:
Deployment
Responsible for E2E Planning, Excellence and aligning Supply Chain product flows with up-to-date DC capacities, forecasts, transportation and labor costs as well as business compliance in order to ensure seasonal business targets across channels are successfully achieved.
- Owns responsibility for the seasonal article and range Deployment across all European DCs taking into consideration defined and agreed deployment principles, DC capabilities/capacities (throughput & storage) and ranging, as well as business requirements for product delivery dates and windows.
- Maintains DC serviceability. Keeps inventory, SKU, and volume focus inside workable capacity and priority levels established with D.C. Operations, Transport, Finance, Commercial, and Demand Planning
- Holds ownership for all deployment-relevant technology, databases, updates, and seasonal changes with regard to accuracy and functionality.
- Guarantees frequent and comprehensive best in class reporting, metrics, SLAs, and communication to all process stakeholders by considering concerns, changing business requirements, and capacity enhancements.
- Develops and manages monthly inventory review/reporting/communication covering all DCs to identify possible storage capacity shortages and their root causes then recommending solutions to address potential short falls and service gaps.
- Manages and drives workstreams, project plans, partnerships, and timely actions with all related stakeholders to reduce inventory to the agreed standard levels ensuring that respective targets (i.e. IDL Inventory Days Lasting) are met
- Acts as a central contact point accountable for all inventory/product flow, deployment, and delivery activities. Ensure comprehensive weekly and monthly reporting and drive an open, proactive communication culture across Distribution Centers to ensure transparency regarding agreed actions and plans.
- Responsible for Master Data Management related to DC capacities (throughput & storage, volumes, and SKU) as well as the accuracy of ranging master data.
- Ensures comprehensive e2e planning of supply chain is enabled and drive respective goals.
- Drives constant improvement, excellence and deliver service and costs leverage.

- Provides leadership and direction to a cross-functional team, setting goals and ensuring the effective alignment of resources to achieve targets.
- Attracts, motivates, develops, engages, rewards, recognizes and retains a diverse team of Supply Chain professionals.

- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time in some cases with limited and/or no notice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent cross-functional experience and business know-how of end-to-end Supply Chain Management operations.
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation and focus on the consumer value proposition.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain mechanics and flow of goods from sourcing to customer.
- Understanding of advanced supply chain concepts and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Manhattan WMS system, SAP, and data warehouse models, as well as strong MS Office knowledge (Excel/Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and computation skills and ability to root-cause, problem solve and drive solutions.
- Comfortable creating complex operations planning models, productivity scenarios, distribution modelling, and early warning programs.
- Experience driving performance improvements and change within a complex global organization.
- Proven experience and understanding of wholesale industry customers and their process flow fundamentals as well as similar experience with retail store and eCommerce distribution models and flows.
- Polished and articulate with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills demonstrated by the ability to influence, communicate, and lead at both tactical and strategic levels.
- Strong and consistent sense of anticipation, urgency, creative problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with reliable planning and organization skills.
- Demonstrates solid leadership principles, a mentoring focus and great aptitude for leading diverse people and teams, with awareness, sensitivity and consistent professionalism.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management from a College or University or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 10 years work experience in one or more Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance functions in a global company, ideally in the sporting goods industry.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience directly managing people, preferably experience managing people managers.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree
- CPIM, Lean Six Sigma Certification a plus
