Senior Manager Merchandise Planning - Pricing and Promotions
Sitting in the EU eCommerce Product Merchandising team, part of the EU eCom Planning & Trading team, the Pricing team leads and drives assortment and pricing for Non-Full Price and Commercial moments.
This role is focused on maximizing sales, profitability, and sell-through by managing:
- Holistic pricing strategy across all product categories in eCommerce, ensuring alignment with brand strategy while achieving financial goals (net sales, margins, markdown, and inventory targets).
- Product lifecycle management, with an emphasis on planning and executing major commercial campaigns (e.g. end-of-season sales, Black Friday).
As the Sr. Manager of Pricing, you will help translate financial plans into relevant commercial assortments and execute them. You will play a vital role within the Buying, Planning & Trading department, while also driving real-time, in-season trading by turning assortment and consumer insights into actionable strategies. You will also be responsible to lead the Pricing & Promotion team and drive innovation in the area of tools and analytical capabilities in collaboration with the responsible global digital teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own planning processes for commercial campaigns from an assortment point of view, including elements like determining product strategy, lookback analysis, article selection, discount strategy, volume forecasting. This involves managing end-to-end process in tight collaboration with all relevant stakeholders within Buying Planning & Trading and the overall extended eCom organization.
- Act as key player within the organization in determining and executing promotional trading levers and involve in all promotions onsite that have product implications.
- Provide strategic and commercial inputs at relevant milestones of the overall Buying & Planning Strategy to ensure proper alignment for IBP and other forecasting processes.
- Perform competitor pricing intelligence in determining pricing and markdown strategy.
- Maintain and evolve the Pricing & Promotion Policy for eCom Europe in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance and transparency for all prices shown to consumer on digital touchpoints from both full-price and non-full-price points of view.
- Work pro-actively and propose changes in pricing management processes in order to avoid irregularities.
- Maintain proper interaction with wholesale and retail to provide alignment on pricing strategies, especially for key commercial moments within the DTC area.
- Manage day-to-day pricing and promotional activities, ensuring alignment with key assortment principles.
- Engage Analytics team and other relevant global digital teams to maintain and evolve tools and capabilities, so to keep improving overall promotional strategy and drive efficiency from execution and process point of view.
- Ensure performance transparency and provide insights on performance for all non-full-price areas within direct scope. Ensure key reporting activities related to price, margin, markdown and stock for relevant parts of assortment.
- Lead the team and provide guidance and support to team members in the execution of all pricing activities. Provide regular feedback and support to team members in their growth and development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Passionate about product, deep knowledge of merchandising and retail topics and broad knowledge of other functional areas relevant from a buying, planning, trading and product creation process.
- Knowledges and passion for Sports, global fashion, sneakerhead, hype, fashion influencer
Market.
- Understanding of key assortment and digital KPIs (e.g., Traffic, AOV, PDP views, CVR, ROS, Markdown depth, Sell Through, …), their interconnected nature and what levers to drive to improve performance.
- Self-motivated and passionate about deriving business insight from data, improving business processes, and solving problems.
- Experience in Leading and Developing Teams - ensure organizational efficiency through
effective motivation, training and development. A builder of diverse, inclusive high performing teams and talents.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in spreadsheet analysis, Data bricks and Power Bi data visualization tools are a plus.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to handle multiple tasks and business partners.

- Highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to work in deadline driven environment.
- A team player, able to collaborate effectively within a matrix organization.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- BA / BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field
- 5+ Years of overall work experience
- Fashion / Sporting Goods/ FMCG Industry experience
- Previous relevant experience within an ecommerce/retail environment: at least 3+ years trading planning, merchandising demand forecasting, or equivalent experience is a plus
- Proven ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional matrixed environment
- Relevant people management experience.
