Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
For adidas, the Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) department is focused on winning market share in the digital wholesale destinations and marketplaces our consumers are shopping.
Our Partner Program team operates our marketplace business model completing the product offer at these key destinations to reach more consumers and ensure an optimal product offer is available wherever consumers choose to shop.
The Senior Manager Platform Growth will play an active role in the expansion and growth of the Partner Program business across Europe looking for commercial opportunities and translating them into tangible business results.
They will be instrumental in owning the end-to-end process of integrating accounts, rolling out new capabilities and establishing new processes within Partner Program, with significant exposure to account C-level employees & internal adidas stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the overall roadmap creation and delivery for new partners, capability enhancements and assessment of new business solutions and commercial opportunities within EU Partner Program team.
- Drive the new partner and capabilities roll out process end to end, including new account kick-offs, middleware provider coordination & internal stakeholder expectation management.
- Support the Platform Growth team by aligning internal and external resources to deliver the assigned projects.
- Expand network within eCommerce and Digital communities to identify new opportunities and process improvements which can be replicated within EU Partner Program team.
- Drive the negotiation & contractual agreement with new partners, pitch new ideas and digital projects to enhance consumer experience and scale Partner Program business.
- Confidently articulate what the Partner Program is to potential accounts, with a clear focus on what mutual benefits it would offer.
- Improve and maintain internal processes to enable the team to manage this business more efficiently
- Translate business opportunities into business cases, process mappings and project timelines
- Partner with the Global IT & Global Digital teams to ensure the timely onboarding of all accounts, whilst also unearthing new potential operational efficiencies that will enhance our business model.
- Assess the commercial & operational capabilities of a potential partner & ensuring they adhere to our minimum standards.
- Drive multiple projects & integrations simultaneously across Europe
- Collaborate with several key internal stakeholders, including Global IT, Global Digital, Legal, Finance, Wholesale sales, Operations & Logistics
- Collaborate with several key external stakeholders, including the respective partner’s commercial, marketing, legal, finance, logistical teams & our middleware provider
- Support the preparation of strategic business updates
- Proactively suggest new go-to-market approaches or implementation process improvements
- Ensure all prospective partners meet the pre-defined onboarding criteria & through close communication managing the relationship & expectations of all key stakeholders, both internal & external

- Partner Program Platform Trading, Platform Operations, Product Launch and Optimization teams
- Marketplace team and business/technical teams of partner accounts
- Wholesale team managing the respective accounts
- European Supply Chain Management, IT, Finance, Global Digital and Legal teams

- eCommerce and Digital teams (eCommerce Growth, Localization team, Buying and Planning)

- Passionate about deriving business insights from data, improving business processes and searching for new business opportunities
- Excellent PowerPoint skills coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Able to participate and confidently provide quantitative and qualitative input in investment review
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to present and map complex business solutions and processes (interest in technical and business eCommerce projects a must).
- Focused on achieving results & confident to take on accountability to deliver to expectations
- Quick to learn new systems and tools

- Ability to cope well with ambiguity and uncertainty and to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years professional experience (demonstrated experience in business development, platform management, sales or Digital/eCommerce is a key requirement).
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex projects.
- Experience in managing ecommerce and digital projects on a global & market level.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required; at least one other European language would be beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field
