Assistant Manager, Outbound Logistics

Purpose/ Mission:

  • Drive and contribute to Warehouse & Logistics Operations business strategies by working with the Warehouse Manager. 

Accountabilities:

  • To manage Warehouse Outbound Picking eCom , Non eCom and Distribution Operations by working closely with the WH Manager
  • To ensure that the daily outbound functions are functioning safely with high level of accuracy, efficiency (cost & process) and productivity.
  • Ensuring good warehouse practices are continually maintained to make the “Best in Class” facility in the region.
  • Ensuring continuous creative improvement process thru problem identification and problem analysis.
  • Development and monitoring of the employee work plans, development and training plans.
  • Ensuring the timely Outbound reports submission with high level of accuracy.
  • Vigilant in being the gatekeeper in any deviation in process
  • Constantly analyzing the “health” status of the outbound operations with the help of collected data
  • Initiating 1 year operational & knowledge upgrading plans           

Primary

  • Drive and Contribute to Warehouse & Logistics Operations business strategies by working with the Warehouse Manager. 
  • Grow and strengthen adidas business by developing the WH & Log organization, optimizing Outbound delivery performance and achieve cost targets; provide visible product flow and status; identifying and utilizing best practices; strengthening processes and policies; leveraging systems; establishing and monitoring KPIs’.
  • To manage Warehouse Outbound Operations and supporting the distribution of products to overseas and local customers.
  • To ensure that the daily outbound functions are functioning safely with high level of accuracy, efficiency (cost & process) and productivity.
  • Ensuring good warehouse practices are continually maintained to make the “Best in Class” facility in the region.
  • Ensuring continuous creative improvement process thru problem identification and problem analysis.
  • Development and monitoring of the employee work plans, development and training plans.
  • Managing 1 year forward planning strategy         

Secondary

  • Develop and plan for outbound activities (manpower & job assignment) with the outbound Supervisor.
  • Updating of Flash report for outbound Status timely.
  • Chairing the Morning Briefing Session / Positive Multiplier Activities
  • Coordination and Communication with “internal customers” with regards to outbound activities.
  • Conducting investigation for inbound & inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitoring & management of outbound productivity.
  • Manage and control outbound pooling management activities in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Timely submission or updating of reports assigned.
  • Continuous review of outbounds process to achieve the Best Practice.
  • Verification of outbound related invoices before submission for approval by Warehouse Manager.
  • Management of outbounds team’s discipline.
  • Vendor management
  • Control and facilitates of facilities and equipment issues eg, arranging for repairs, coordination for IT upgrading.
  • Inter- support of inbound control & management in the absence of Inbound Associate. 
  • Assuming the role of the Warehouse Manager during his absence
  • Perform any other roles or duties assigned by the superior, which is deemed reasonable, practical and logical

Professional background/ Experience: 

  • Functional: Experience in Logistics Operation
  • Industry: Preferably in apparel/ fashion/ FW or FMCG Retail
  • Exposure: Sports

  • Diploma in Logistics Management
