Purpose of the role:

Drive the success of the Sport Category by executing a comprehensive category plan aligned with EU Business Unit (BU) and Global strategies. Serve as the key ambassador for the category, collaborating closely with the EU business unit, Cluster Go To Market Team, and Zone counterparts to ensure seamless alignment, impactful execution, and strong business results. This role will focus on one of the following key categories — Running, Training, or Football — to be defined based on the candidate's background, expertise, and business needs.

What you will do:

  • Act as the local representative for the respective Business Unit (BU) Category Manager, supporting the implementation of the category strategy across the cluster and various zones.
  • Champion the Business Unit’s vision internally and externally, serving as a key ambassador to promote alignment and engagement.

  • Bridge connections between the Go-To-Market (GTM) South Team, Cluster, and Zone Teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

  • Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights and input to shape the business plan in alignment with EU BU strategies and guidance from the Line Manager.

  • Support EU BU decisions on local product ranging and forecasting by providing key data insights, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, mark-up recommendations, pricing adjustments, segmentation, and allocation support as needed.

  • Monitor category performance by maintaining regular analytics on sell-in and sell-through results (with support from Finance, Sales Coordination, and Business Development teams) to drive sustainable growth.

  • Support GTM presentations by collaborating with the Cluster GTM Team to prepare and deliver compelling presentations that align with strategic goals.

  • Track and analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities and ensure category relevance in the market.

  • Ensure operational excellence throughout the GTM process by managing all related activities and ensuring alignment with market needs.

  • Serve as the key connection point for sales teams, category champions, and brand colleagues across four zones (France, Italy, SEE, Iberia), ensuring alignment on category-specific topics and initiatives.

  • Advise on pricing strategies by providing insights on country price-grouping and submitting exception requests during the pricing process when necessary.

  • Support sell-in and sell-out initiatives by ensuring effective execution and alignment with category objectives.

  • Manage the sample order process for South Europe, ensuring alignment with Line Manager direction and MOPs (Merchandising Operations) guidance.

  • Ensure consistency in sell-in tools by tailoring and reviewing local materials to align with EU standards while minimizing customized solutions.

Skills you will need:

  • Proven experience (5 years minimum) in GTM execution, category management, or product marketing within the sports, fashion, or consumer goods industry.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Economics or other Business-relevant area

  • Consumer-focused with deep product and range understanding across multiple categories

  • Cross functional marketing knowledge and market experience in sport and/or fashion/lifestyle categories.

  • Pro-active and end-to-end mindset

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with different international cultures

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) especially when interacting with different levels of business

  • Outstanding flexibility and discipline to work on a fast-paced calendar

  • English knowledge (written and oral) on a professional level (C2)

  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
