Purpose of the Role:
The Retail Training Manager shapes the in-store experience by delivering impactful learning initiatives that grow the capabilities of retail teams, helping adidas deliver premium service and drive business success.

 

What you'll do:

  • Deliver engaging training sessions live or virtually, using interactive and hands-on techniques
  • Support new employee onboarding by leading training on brand, product and customer service standards
  • Lead the rollout of training programs across retail locations, ensuring consistency and impact
  • Track training effectiveness and adapt based on feedback and performance metrics 
  • Identify learning needs through store visits, performance data and feedback
  • Spend 40% of working week with store teams (across South East Europe countries - travel expected), role modeling customer service, observing team’s behavior and providing feedback or coaching
  • Mentor in-store trainers, providing coaching and development to strengthen local training capabilities
  • Partner with store managers and district leads to align learning programs with business priorities
  • Promote a culture of learning by engaging store teams, recognizing top performers and fostering motivation 
  • Drive digital learning through adidas learning platforms available to store teams 

 

Skills you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience in retail, ideally within fashion, footwear, or FMCG, with a training or development focus Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Business, HR or related field—or equivalent experience 
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate learners 
  • Hands-on experience developing and delivering practical training content for a retail environment 
  • Knowledge of retail operations, customer service standards and sales techniques
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Experience using learning tools (e.g., LMS, e-learning modules) is a plus
  • Fluent in English, Greek/Romanian language is a bonus 
  • Driving license B
