Sales Manager (Rebel Sport New Zealand)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
Lead one of adidas’ most strategic partnerships in New Zealand by owning the Rebel Sport New Zealand account end‑to‑end. This role plays a critical part in driving the success of adidas Aotearoa New Zealand through sustainable, profitable growth across both physical retail and digital channels.
As Sales Manager for Rebel Sport New Zealand, you will shape account strategy, translate global priorities into local execution, and deliver best‑in‑class omni‑channel performance while strengthening long‑term partnership value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Rebel Sport New Zealand account end‑to‑end, delivering net sales, profitability, and market share growth across strategic categories
- Own full account P&L responsibility, including forecasting, budgeting, and trade investment management
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans aligned with adidas New Zealand, Emerging Markets, and global priorities
- Act as the primary senior contact for Rebel Sport New Zealand, building trusted, long‑term partnerships internally and externally
- Lead sell‑in, ranging, and category assortment planning to drive strong commercial outcomes and in‑market execution
- Drive omni‑channel growth across retail and eCommerce, including digital acceleration, content, and campaign delivery
- Optimise sell‑through, pricing, inventory health, and consumer conversion using data and insights
- Ensure operational excellence through accurate forecasting, order book health, and effective supply chain alignment
- Manage and uphold all agreed trade terms and commercial agreements
- Lead, coach, and develop the account team, fostering a high‑performance culture and strong cross‑functional collaboration

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven success in key account management or senior sales roles
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership
- Deep understanding of the New Zealand retail landscape, ideally sporting goods or fashion
- Experience operating in an omni‑channel environment across retail and eCommerce
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Data‑led mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
- Leadership capability with a passion for developing people and teams
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in sales or account management (key account experience preferred)
- 2+ years’ people leadership experience
- Experience within sports, fashion, or footwear highly regarded
