Sr Manager GBS Taxes

In a dynamic business environment, this position is responsible for creating and maintaining sustainable, accurate and efficient implementation and maintenance of the adidas Group's tax relevant SAP and other systems globally and Tax Accounting operations (Reconciliations, payments, etc)
.
This includes, but is not limited to, project Tax lead, Tax (e-invoicing and tax accounting) process creation and review, internal and external audit liaison for tax topics,
Through engaging with our GBS (Global Business Services) team, the role seeks to continuously identify opportunities for further collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Tax Accounting and E-invoicing function by taking a key leadership role in the day-to-day management of the team, defining performance targets for the team members, and monitoring team member performance and development.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the general ledger to ensure timely and accurate financials.
- Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.
- Plan and manage accounting procedures, ensure month and year-end balance correctly reflect the economic-financial reality of the countries / accounts in scope.
- Ensure processes are attached to the Global internal controls; ensure data and processes adherence to the Group’s policies.
- Ensure accounts reconciliations are performed timely and with high quality.
- Work together with the countries and other GBS areas to provide the necessary information to internal or external auditors and local tax authorities.
- Ensure strong collaboration with the country teams in Latin America and Global Tax function
- Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly activities are performed timely and with high quality.
- Address operational issues to ensure root cause analysis and effective solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and leadership abilities Senior Managers:
- Excellent knowledge of finance, tax and accounting.
- Ability to coach, manage, align, motivate, and develop direct reports.
- Ability to interact, effectively present information and respond to questions from stakeholders, senior management, cross functional business leaders, peers, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to understand the business process and to think strategically.
- Strong follow-up investigation skills to find discrepancies in reconciliations and make necessary changes to the general ledger.
- High attention to details and accuracy.
- Ability to manage effectively in a team environment, coordinating multiple tasks in parallel, many times with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- CPA or Finance related
- More than 10 years’ experience in accounting and/or tax
- More than 5 years leading teams
- Tax knowledge
- English proficiency
- Good communication skills
- Stakeholder management
