Within GBS, the DTC Retail Team process plays a key role in ensuring transactional integrity across the direct-to-consumer retail channel by reconciling sales and payments with precision, speed, and scalability. Acting as the connective tissue between commercial operations, financial systems, and compliance frameworks, the team ensures that every retail transaction-from point of sale to final settlement accurately captured, validated, and reflected in core systems. The DTC Retail specialist is responsible for executing daily reconciliation activities between sales and payments validating transactions, detecting errors, and ensuring data integrity across systems. They collaborate with technical and financial teams to resolve issues, document processes, and actively contribute to continuous improvement. Their operational focus ensures that every transaction is accurately recorded, supporting the reliability and efficiency of the Retail Channel.

  

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Handling, monaging, monitoring and reconcile IFRS 16 and dismantling provision
  • Constant support to accounting issues related to revenues, leases, rentals, fixed costs, reclassifications and accounting adjustments.
  • Handling, monitoring, and posting bank statements.
  • General Ledger and Accounts Receivable accounts reconciliation, investigating and following up on differences.
  • Monitoring and following up of differences between systems interfaces.
  • Support the successful execution of all accounting activities for DTC areas, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform period end closing activities such as accruals, provisions and balance sheet reclasses.
  • Perform inventory accounting and post adjustments.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation, accounts review and provide variances explanations.
  • Close contact with the local Finance Teams across adidas subsidiaries located in Europe and Americas and Customer Service teams, handling daily queries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Good Accounting knowledge.

Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Ability to pay close attention to detail and a high degree of customer orientation.

Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.

Be a team player.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

University degree in Commerce/Business Administration/Finance/ Controlling or similar.

Accounting is a plus.

5 plus years relevant work experience in the accounting / business area

Broad and deep theoretical understanding of job function 

Experience with SAP is a must.

Experience in a Shared Service environment is an advantage.
