Sr Specialist GBS Mobility
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The GBS Mobility Partner team is responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of employee relocation cases within adidas. The role focuses on delivering a smooth, compliant, and positive relocation experience while acting as the internal "owner" of the move. Based in GBS Porto, the team supports adidas’ global workforce strategy by ensuring relocations are executed efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relocation Management
- Independently manage end‑to‑end domestic and international relocation cases, from initiation through assignment close‑out, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and employee experience.
- Handle complex, high‑risk, or exception‑driven cases, applying deep mobility expertise and escalating non‑standard decisions in line with governance frameworks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for relocating employees, people managers, HR, and Talent Acquisition, providing clear operational guidance on mobility policies, processes, and expectations.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for work permit, visa, and immigration compliance requirements.
- Oversee the collection, validation, and tracking of all immigration documentation and ensure timely renewals.
Reporting & Compliance
- Preparation of Global Mobility compliance reports, dashboards, and KPI updates.
- Support internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across immigration and tax processes.
- Ensure alignment with corporate policies and legislative requirements, proposing updates or improvements when needed.
Policy Application & Compliance Excellence
- Apply global mobility policies consistently and accu rately at case level, ensuring alignment with internal approval frameworks and local regulatory requirements.
- Support employees through immigration and tax processes as part of the relocation journey, ensuring clarity on documentation requirements, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Proactively identify compliance risks or data gaps at case level and escalate appropriately to ensure audit readiness and risk mitigation.
Vendor Coordination (Case‑Level)
- Coordinate closely with the Relocation Management Company (RMC) and other mobility vendors (immigration, tax, destination services) to ensure timely case progression and service delivery.
- Monitor vendor performance at individual case level, escalating service issues or delays in line with agreed escalation paths.
- Ensure accurate and complete data exchange between internal stakeholders and external providers.
Data Quality, Tracking & Reporting Support
- Maintain accurate relocation data, cost tracking, and vendor invoice validation across mobility systems and tools.
- Act as a quality checkpoint for case‑related data, ensuring integrity, completeness, and consistency.
- Contribute to mobility reporting, trend analysis, and insights related to case activity, costs, and employee experience.
- Maintain compliance-related data such as TCOE inputs, allowances, housing, and assignment details.
Process Improvement & Knowledge Contribution
- Identify opportunities to improve mobility processes, documentation, and ways of working based on operational experience.
- Contribute to standardization initiatives, playbooks, and knowledge articles within Global Mobility.
- Share expertise and best practices within the GBS Mobility team, supporting onboarding and capability building of new team members.
- Makes tactical decisions that improve process performance or operational continuity.
- Has a huge knowledge of the area and process.
Employee & Family Support
- Provide practical, empathetic guidance to employees and their families on housing, schooling, healthcare, and settling‑in topics.
- Deliver a consistent, people‑centric relocation experience aligned with adidas’ culture and values.
- Communicates with stakeholders at both operational and strategic levels. Manages key stakeholder relationships.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Operational knowledge of global mobility processes including immigration, tax coordination, household goods, temporary housing, and destination services.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex relocation cases within defined policy frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and audit awareness.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, empathetic, and solution‑oriented guidance.
- Strong organizational and stakeholder coordination skills.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in global mobility, relocation management, or mobility operations within a multinational environment or relocation service provider.
- Experience working with global mobility vendors and managing end‑to‑end relocation cases.
