Sr Specialist General Ledger

Within GBS, the Finance Operations process plays a key role in ensuring correct and daily execution of financial and accounting responsibilities in the GBS center according to the policies, procedures, and guidelines, and according to the Group Accounting Manual for specific areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of daily operations and month-end close activities, incorporating robust control points and self-checks, while reviewing financial data to validate the integrity of financial statements.
- Complete and review BSR on time and open item follow up with high quality.
- Monitoring and following up on differences between systems interfaces.
- Maintain a complete and accurate RTR in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules within established deadlines (monthly/ daily) for standard accounts.
- Coordinate with business partners (Controlling; FP&A and Local Finance, GPO’s, GBS streams etc.) to obtain needed information and ensure properly process execution.
- Prepare and compile documentation for year-end audit and internal audit for standard accounts.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of Global policies and operational processes, internal team training, and cross-function knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the KPI’s compliance according to the Global standards.
- Actively involved in projects, which includes global/GBS center/team projects and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Primary contact person of key process (e.g., Inventory/Payroll/DTC etc.) as SME, including cross-entity data collection and analysis.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent education required
- Minimum 5 years’ financial and accounting experience
- Experience in a Shared Services environment is an advantage
- Strong accounting expertise, especially in IFRS, within own domain and across related functional areas
- Basic knowledge in the use of SAP or similar ERPs, Microsoft office – Word, Excel, and Power BI
- Intermediate English level
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills
