Sr. Manager Data and Analytics

Purpose

The Senior Manager Data & Analytics plays a key role in building and managing a team of Data Analysts to gain data efficiencies through automation and insight that can drive predictability within X-Functions.  This data driven role helps build a strategy to leverage Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics concepts to digitalize data use.  Responsible for building statistical models that will help us move into, not only the predictive space, but also into the prescriptive space.

Key Accountabilities

  • Passion for all things data
  • Analyse and automate manual processes by leveraging the technology stack
  • Recommend best practices on how to best automate processes
  • Process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for statistical models and analytics
  • Partner with Global DNA team to create, maintain, and execute the team’s roadmap, objectives, and key commitments, through the evolution of our technology stack
  • Drive partnerships with 3rd party vendors and outside partners
  • Design and develop premium technical solutions for X-Function
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in the areas of predictive analytics, statistics, data visualization, and iterative modelling processes
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to project team members and stakeholders
  • Contribute positively to our team’s mission, visions, and values
  • Cooperate with the Local and Global TECH organizations on the conception, design, and implementation of standardized data solutions 

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

 

  • Experience in data processes automation through scalable and repeatable processes
  • Develop predictive models using Python, R, or using statistical platforms such as SPSS
  • Experience with MicroStrategy or Power BI is preferred
  • Experience with SAP HANA or Exasol is preferred
  • Data preparation and munging with a variety of relational and non-traditional data sources
  • Requirements gathering, communication with users and stakeholders to understand opportunities and needs
  • Experience with predictive application performance monitoring, capacity planning and tuning for multiple members on multiple projects
  • Write scripts to do exploratory data mining that can then be communicated or translated to users for model development
  • Develop, support, migrate and refactor automated, streaming input to models.
  • Solve stakeholder’s challenges by translating the meaning and impact of data, and communicating the story that the deliverable tells or the problem that the deliverable solves

 

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Business Finance, Accounting or another relevant program is required
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related IT fields is desirable
  • 8+ years of related experience working with Business Analytics and Business Intelligence strongly preferred
  • 3+ years Predictive Analytics and Data Process Automation experience preferred
  • 5+ years as people manager
