Sr. Specialist Retail Trading

The Senior Specialist Trader supports in-season trading and allocation execution across Retail and Franchise channels, ensuring stock health, sell-through, and margin optimization. This role focuses on data analysis, inventory flow coordination, and in-season responsiveness, translating commercial plans into actionable outcomes to deliver an exceptional consumer experience.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Execute store allocation and replenishment plans (Executional)

Implement store allocation and replenishment strategies provided by the Manager Trader to ensure the right product, size, and quantity reach each store on time (stock to sales ratio by store and by channel).


Monitor daily and weekly sell-out performance (Operational)

Track store-level sales and stock data to identify overstock or stock out risks, recommending immediate corrective actions to optimize store performance.

 

Support markdown and price implementation (Executional)

Execute approved markdown (Gross Margin Return in Inventory) and price adjustments across channels, ensuring alignment with commercial strategy, system accuracy, and on-time execution.

 

Support Distribution Center-to-store, store-to-store, and ship-from-store transfers to optimize stock levels and ensure product availability during key trading periods.

 

Maintain and update trading performance dashboards (Operational)

Consolidate sales, inventory, and margin data to update weekly trading reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights for the Manager Trader.

 

Provide analytical support for trading decisions (Operational / Analytical)

Analyze product and size performance, identifying top and slow movers. Share insights to support in-season actions such as reallocation, transfers, or markdowns.

 

Support in-season trading meetings and feedback loops (Executional)

Prepare performance summaries, presentation materials, and analysis to support cross-functional trading meetings and follow-ups.

 

Contribute to post-season analysis and learnings (Executional)

Assist in compiling post-season reviews by providing quantitative and qualitative insights to improve future buy and allocation strategies.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

 

 

 

Requisite Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Merchandising, or Supply Chain.
  • 2 years of experience in Retail Trading or Planning, preferably in sporting goods, fashion, or consumer goods.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, stock management, or allocation in a Retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Advanced English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills.
