Manager Distribution Center Operations
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
The DC manager assume the responsibility for the management of the inbound product flow of adidas from suppliers until stocks are booked in addition to the management & execution of the DC Operations and order book for customers by coordinating/matching supply and demand within the supply chain and ensuring orders are fulfilled on time & in full.
Managing and coaching the entire Inbound and DC team in Egypt and building strong cross functional relations within SCM functions and other stakeholders, with a focus on the Retail, Wholesale, eCom, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for accurate and timely inbound product flow management of adidas product.
- Responsible for continuous streamlining of Inbound process and adhering to standards, policies, customs regulations & controls.
- Operational management of the distribution center and transportation operations for both B2B & B2C in Egypt.
- Coordinating internally with Logistics Provider to ensure excellent warehouse management and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate the release of themes & campaigns with marketing/retail and ensure on time deliveries to the markets.
- Establish reporting criteria within the scope of Inbound & DC Ops status and ensure reports are published as per the timelines.
- Support negotiations with 3PL and Transporters and initiate tender for contract renewals.
- Prepare with full diligence all related documents (invoices, packing lists, COO, … etc.) for Inbound and Outbound shipments to ensure accurate payment of customs duties and efficient clearance.
- Support the overall operations team by taking lead in timely submission of Global KPIs, inventory management.
- Coaching and managing of Egypt Inbound and DC operations team.
- Responsible for managing entire supply chain budget for Egypt - timely monitoring, and leading efficiency initiatives.
- Actively participate / lead SCM transformation initiatives like ecommerce capabilities, automation, DC network strategy, supply chain excellence etc.
- Continuously identify areas of improvement in supply chain operations which bring in efficiency or improve customer experience.
- Work cross-functionally with field operations and other functions to drive influence in capacity planning and management.
- Actively participate / lead SCM transformation initiatives like ecommerce capabilities, automation, DC network strategy, supply chain excellence etc.
- Collaborating with SCM cluster head, understanding the forecasted volumes and priorities, organizing and motivating all distribution center staff to achieve delivery of all customers’ orders on time.
- Preparing ad-hoc analysis, reports and new projects.
- Measures forwarder’s performance on a regular basis and communicate to concerned parties for analysis and improvement recommendations.
- Responsible for local/Global 3PL account management and coordination from volume allocation, formulation and maintenance of processes, policies, contracts and standard operating procedures (SOP).

Skills and Experience Required
- University degree in Management, Business, or Engineering. Logistics, Supply chain preferred and Post Graduation is a plus.
- IT Skills – Advanced in MS Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint); Power Bi and SAP experience preferred.
- Min. 6 years of overall work experience in Logistics & Distribution Centre, preferably Apparel/Footwear and Retail/Ecom vertical
- Management experience for at least 2 years.
- University degree in Management. Logistics, Supply chain preferred and Post Graduation is a plus.
- Ability to manage a multi-faceted team in an operations environment, with an understanding of unified commerce principles.
- Strong track-record of problem-solving, including structuring problems, performing detailed analysis, and developing/implementing recommendations.
