HRBP: Projects

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This position plays a leading role in the execution of the HR strategy for adidas South Africa. Acting as facilitator and influencer on all HR initiatives and projects, this position integrates the HR agenda to the operational requirements of the business, covering all HR topics, which include, but not limited to: HR Transformation, Payroll, HR Systems, Policies, Employee Engagement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), Talent Management, Learning, Data & Analytics, Reward and Employee Experience.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and execution of the HR Strategy and supporting initiatives, ensuring on time in full delivery

 

  • Be the point of contact for HR projects and initiatives, driving good governance and enhancing the skills and competencies of the HR team with respect to project management capabilities

 

  • Continuously review and assess all HR related processes / systems, planning and implementing required interventions, whilst effectively collaborating with relevant stakeholders

 

  • Partner with and coach business leaders to positively influence business outcomes across all HR and non-HR led topics to ensure a fit for purpose organization

 

  • Analyze data and develop reports on key HR topics for presenting to South Africa, Emerging Markets or global stakeholders

 

  • Ensure all HR standards / procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to meet internal and external compliance requirements

 

  • Manage the optimal flow of information and ensure effective communication across the different HR subfunctions and the wider EM South Cluster

 

  • Lead and / or co-ordinate the change management cycle for interventions across the EM South Cluster to ensure stakeholder buy-in, successful process adoption and the overall achievement of project objectives

 

  • Conduct training needs analyses and facilitate training aligned to learning objectives and implement strategies to ensure effective knowledge transfer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • People-focused with an excellent ability to communicate with diverse employees
  • Passion for working across multiple functions, with multiple stakeholders (sometimes simultaneously)
  • Proven experience as a strategic, commercial minded HR Business Partner
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills to ensure the drive towards a high-performance culture
  • Developed Leadership skills and Customer orientation
  • Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mind-set, both process and result oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with effective planning & organizing skills
  • Good analytical and numeracy comprehension
  • Knowledge of the South African Labour Laws

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Project Management, Administration, Commerce, Social Sciences or related field
  • At least 10 years’ progressive working experience of which 5 years must have been in an HR related role / environment
  • Experience in leading and successfully delivering end-to-end Projects / Transformational initiatives 
  • Experience in a multinational global brand / company, across several territories is advantageous
  • Confident presenter to various audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced MS Office skills (focus on Powerpoint, Excel and AI tools)
  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills
