Payroll Specialist - GBS HR Services
PURPOSE
To ensure that all HR administration and payroll input, queries and support is managed with 100% accuracy and with speed
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Payroll
- Work closely with the HRBP’s and Hire to retire team to input and process all necessary payroll data each month
- Collate all retail staff’s time and manual hours and leave from time and attendance tool to ensure hours are uploaded and payroll is processed accurately
- Be the point of contact for all payroll queries and escalate to Payroll lead when query cannot be resolved
- Complete and issue UIF forms when requested
- Submit monthly UIF declarations to Department of Labour
- Reconcile and manage all third-party payment processing including for employees
- Submit all necessary documentation for third party payments to adidas Benefits consultant
- Engaging with payroll vendors and service providers
- Owns and drives third party benefits exits and starters with Benefits consultant or directly with Third party supplier once documents have been received from HRBP for all starters and terminations.
- Creation of payslip simulations as requested by businesses and employees
- Identify and propose opportunities to improve payroll process where possible
- Manage the distribution of retail payslips
- Create quarterly STATS submissions and submit to STATS SA on a quarterly basis
- All payroll filing
- Payroll System testings and UAT’s for upcoming improvements or updates
Administration
- Work with HRBP teams to ensure data accuracy for both retail and back-office
- Creation and distribution of SAP reports as requested
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- SAP HCM experience
- Service-now experience for ticket management
- SuccessFactors knowledge (advantageous)
- Knowledge of SARS regulations and all other SA Statutory compliance and submissions
- Intermediate usage of excel
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral
- Attention to detail and ability to work at speed but with accuracy
- Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with key stakeholders
- High levels of discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of work
QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have completed a relevant qualification and 5+ years working experience within payroll department of a medium-large organization
- Tertiary qualification in either a higher certificate with relevant payroll courses, diploma and or degree
