Senior Manager Space & Visual Merchandise Planning - EM

 

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

  • The Space Planning & VM team is instrumental in delivering a compelling consumer journey through Own Retail, branded spaces and impactful VM standards
  • With a store fleet that is growing and renewing, the Space Planning & VM function delivers strategies, tools and guidelines for space planning and VM across 127 countries in EM

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead, manage and develop a cross-functional team across several HUB locations (Cape Town, Delhi, Dubai, Singapore)
  • Deliver annual, seasonal and trend-led VM strategies, tools and guidance to ensure brand and commercial KPI’s are met
  • Be the business partner to all EM Category teams to bring their category priorities to life through store elevations and impactful VM standards
  • Partner closely with the EM Store Development team and lead strategic store openings and remodels (~30 per year)
  • Deliver VM upskilling through the EM VM Academy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • A successful track record in leading multi-channel VM strategy across multiple countries
  • Experience with space planning, store development or similar functions is preferred
  • Experience in developing and executing strategies and plans to drive engagement with consumers through products and spaces
  • Experience and comfort with influencing stakeholders and enabling change through an organization
  • An ability to present concepts and plans to senior leaders to secure buy-in
  • Experience in cross-functional and virtual team management

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 10 - 12 years experience in Space Planning and / or VM, preferably in the sports / fashion industry
  • Bachelors degree in related field required.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams
