Senior Specialist Buyer Value Channel - EM South
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
To execute the product strategy for Hybrid stores. Responsibilities include an array of projects & tasks related to range building and seasonal product strategy. This individual will work on cross-functional projects at both hub and cluster level and will have high interaction with other functions such as Operations, Trade and Allocation, Category Management (CTC) & Visual Merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
•Create weekly product insight reports and present during trade call – store trends and performance
•Support in building assortments for both inline seasonal ranges, GFO as well as clearance product for Hybrid and Value stores.
•Support Hybrid stores on execution of campaigns, promotions, and product needs.
•Review bestsellers and blackhole product, suggest actions on inventory movement and top-up orders.
•Manage product seasonal flow and new store product strategy.
•Pull basic reports using Power BI, and provide strong interpretation of data
•Completion of seasonal comp shop
•Maintain awareness of global trends and showcase effective ways of keeping abreast of consumer movements in store.
•Work closely with Omni to plan and execute launches and promotions
•Work closely with T&A, Ecom and CS teams to ensure in-season product strategy and pricing is executed and maintained.
•Execute in-season commercial trade opportunities in line with commercial needs / stock opportunities through weekly review of ATP.
•Work closely with VC Merchandise Buying Manager, local sourcing team and CTC to curate and brief in local production Value Channel range.
•Analyse Hybrid store performance and manage weekly check-ins with store managers
•Create strong relationships with CS, eCOM merchandising team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Excellent understanding of range & assortment building: a proven record of building compelling assortments balancing out brand & commercial ambitions
•Intermediate knowledge of data analysis and interpretation, must understand how to tell a story with data
•Strong presenting skills
•Excitement around product and knowledge of the sports industry
•Ability to use MS Word, PowerPoint
•Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
•Strong attention to detail
•Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team
•Ability to work under pressure.
•Demonstrate an ability to guide through complex and ambiguous environments
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
•Relevant tertiary qualification
•3 – 4+ years of working experience within a Buying Department of a medium-large size retail/ecommerce organization
