Trading & Implementation Specialist - EM South
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
This role is responsible for maximising the profitability of the Retail Operations in South Africa by supporting the implementation of the adidas Retail strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Coordination of assigned project work/global initiatives to ensure the delivery of project plans on time and within agreed objectives. Project examples: NPS, CRM, Thinktime, House of Retail, Incentive programs, GROW
- Test these pilot projects when required
- Training of users
- Enhancement/optimization of initiatives and processes
Store Operations General Support
- BPMs submissions support for the South Africa
- Store opening/closure/renovation process coordination
- Process optimisation via GSOM/DTC audit
- SSM maintenance
- Act as a single point of contact for retail initiatives and best practices for market and work closely with the trading and implementation for each excellence project
- Supporting expansion into new markets for roll out of retail standards and trainings for Thinktime, GSOM, etc
- Single point of contact for roll out of retail standards and trainings for Thinktime, GSOM, GROW in the market
- Train retail staff in the operation of tools and methods such as GSOM, GROW, Thinktime and other Global and market initiatives as directed by Global COE and Hub Retail Operations
- NPS & CRM: coordination and implementation of the key actions for the retail touchpoints.
- PR requisitions for Retail & Store development, including allocations and liaising with Finance & completing all GRV’s on Ariba
- Event arrangements including sample sale & DTC events where needed
- POPI compliance officer for Retail
- Uniform size curve compilation orders & call off
- Shopping bag orders & call offs
Lease administration
- Compiling turnover reports for Landlords monthly and yearly.
- Assistance with lease reviews, including bank guarantees, FICA documents and DocuSign
- Liaison between, Legal, DTC Lead & Landlords
- Record keeping of all lease agreements & addendums.
- Actioning renewal & closure notices for stores.
SLT Support
- Assistance with travel requests & expense claims
- Meeting & diary management
- ADHOC presentation requirements
- Monthly & Quarterly update decks for SLT & DTC
KPIs
- Net Sales/DCC market
- Retail Excellence: roll out and implementation of agreed projects with alignment of EM
- NPS & CRM score improvement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
- Fluent in English
- Excellent Coordination and communication skills
- High level of attention to details
- High level of Retail knowledge and experience
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant Qualification
- 3 years of relevant functional experience, ideally with direct Retail experience and exposure to project management/coordination
- Understanding of Retail, Finance, Control
- Industry experience in Sports/Fashion/FMCG
