Retail Training Manager - Central
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Drive the retail training strategy within a defined geographical area, acting as a key business partner to retail leadership. Your mission is to design, deliver, and manage comprehensive learning programs that elevate the skills, knowledge, and performance of retail employees at various levels. Collaborate with Retail Leadership and Store Managers to identify learning needs, align programs with business goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
The Regional Training Manager plays a pivotal role in empowering District Managers, Store Managers, and store employees to exceed business objectives. This role implements cutting-edge retail sales training strategies, facilitates both web-based and instructor-led training, coordinates impactful fleet-based training events, and ensures seamless execution and feedback within the retail fleet.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaboration: Work closely with retail fleet leaders and training community to ensure training materials are relevant and aligned with store needs. Influence partnerships to prioritize sustainable training program implementation.
• Strategy Implementation: Build business acumen and skills to create a sustainable infrastructure for ongoing fleet learning. Assist in all aspects of the Retail Training Go-To Market annual cycle.
• Content Development: Customize North America retail training tools and processes, localizing programs and materials as needed.
• Measurement: Link retail KPIs to results to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, constantly improving programs to meet business needs.
• Feedback & Coaching: Provide feedback and coaching during store visits (virtual and in-person). Partner with fleet trainers and business partners to ensure proper execution of consultative practices.
• Product Knowledge: Support brand and product knowledge initiatives, ensuring training tools are relevant. Plan program pipelines for timely and balanced implementation of learning programs.
• Relationship Building: Maintain solid working relationships with Global Retail Operations, business units, and key stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends in retail training and continuously seek ways to improve training programs.
• Budget Management: Manage the training budget effectively to ensure cost-efficient training solutions as well as travel and expenses associated with training needs.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
• Four-year degree in management or organizational development and training preferred, plus 3 years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, 5+ years of related work experience.
• Proven track record in branded/multi-location retail organizations
• Strong understanding of retail trends and adult learning needs
• Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
• Experience in facilitation and instructional design preferred

This position will be based out of the greater Chicago area.
This position will follow a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in location and 2 days remote.
This position will require up to 60% travel for the market it supports.
