DTC Merchandising Analyst EM

Key Accountabilities

 

Pre-Season Merchandise Planning:

 

  • Develop buy plan (OTB) per EM clusters (what to buy, how much, etc.), according to merchandising

strategy and top down financial target. This implies planning, managing and monitoring the seasonal open to buy to reflect sales trends and adjust buys accordingly at product category class level based on Open-To-Buy (OTB) in collaboration with clusters

  • Conduct historical analysis in terms sell out and buying structure in order to provide proposals for pre-season buying to EM clusters
  • Provide detailed analysis on article level to identify key drivers for top selling articles as well as slow moving articles
  • Manage an effective store clustering & grading plan for the markets and channels
  • Manage seasonal option plan in line with space management
  • Support the implementation of key strategic priorities in line with the company and the Market/ Channel Merchandising framework
  • Monitor buying quantity vs. budget; Aligning Merchandising Plan with the finance plan
  • Drive data analysis for Market Buy-Sign Off meetings.

 

In-Season Merchandising Execution:

 

  • Lead and provide ongoing product and category performance analysis e.g.:- sell out, stock level, MD, etc.
  • Provide in season performance tracking reports. Analyze every aspect of best sellers and worst sellers, in season stock cover management, in season reactivity and provide recommendations based on analysis
  • Provide analysis to develop mark down strategy, support markdown and clearance process
  • Maintain & monitor compliance of pre-season buy and AP policy as well as planning calendar

 

Post-Season Review:

 

  • Provide analysis and documentation for post-season review
  • Provide seasonal deep dive analysis on product performance
  • Partner with BU, Retail Operations, VM, Retail Marketing and Logistics teams to develop action steps for next season

 

Others

  • Manage weekly merchandising reporting framework

 

Knowledge & Skills required

 

  • Detailed knowledge of Merchandising, OTB Management, Sales forecasting & Budget planning

Professional background / Experience/ Education

 

  • 3-5 years merchandising experience – similar capacity
  • Previous experience in retail merchandising
  • High level knowledge and skills in Microsoft products and databases
  • Fluent in English and other language(s) is an advantage
  • Advanced MS office skills (Excel/PPT are a must)
