Manager GBS HR Services

Within this ecosystem, the HR Services function is responsible for delivering high‑quality HR operational services, ensuring compliance, service excellence, and a seamless employee experience across markets. The HR Services Manager leads a regional operations team, driving operational performance, continuous improvement, and strong business partnership. This role is essential in strengthening HR operational reliability and contributing to GBS’s mission of enabling partners to focus on strategic impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead day‑to‑day HR Operations delivery, ensuring service levels, deadlines, and quality standards are consistently met across markets.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire team members, fostering capability development, engagement, and a high‑performance culture.
- Work closely with other teams, e.g. Payroll, Mobility, GPO, etc. in a collaborative manner to ensure seamless execution of end-to-end processes.
- Act as the first escalation point, resolving issues promptly through root‑cause analysis and driving corrective actions and preventive improvements.
- Build trusted relationships with HR Business Partners, Centers of Expertise (e.g., Rewards, Talent), and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to the implementation of global Hire‑to‑Retire strategies, ensuring adoption of new tools, programs, and processes within the region.
- Participate in regional and global projects, representing HR Services in cross‑functional initiatives and transitions.
- Drive operational excellence, monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and internal controls, and implementing actions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Develop team goals and operational plans aligned with the GBS strategy and drive continuous improvement across the service delivery model.

Requisite Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in HR Operations / HR Services within a multinational environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing HR teams in a high‑volume operational setting.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end HR processes.
- Solid knowledge of Japan and/or Korea labor regulation, working rules and common practice.
- Familiar with Japanese and/or Korean culture nuances and way of working.
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese; Fluent in English. Korean is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems (e.g., SAP HR, SuccessFactor).
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex matrix organizations and drive change.
- Results‑driven, resilient, and able to perform under pressure.
