Senior Manager Program Management

  1. General Purpose

As Senior Program Manager in adidas Digital and China Digital Hub you are accountable for driving major change initiatives of China Digital Hub. You are managing & orchestrating a portfolio of programs mainly derived from the digital strategy and change management plan. You are managing (senior) stakeholders’ relationship and secure buy-ins to project deliverables. This includes coordinating alignment across the Digital stakeholder network and facilitating a wider transformation of the company towards a more digital culture and mindset.

 

 

  1. Key Responsibilities

Scope: Accountable for orchestration of major initiatives to deliver against strategic goals of the China Digital Hub

 

  1. Strategy Execution
  • Drive the realization of the Digital Strategy by leading major strategic initiatives.
  • Support business development activities such as identification and prioritization of opportunities. For assigned projects, lead from concept development and implementation until handover to business for steady state operations.
  • Support direct program management for cross-functional initiatives in leading towards business goals. Drive for results and monitor progress in achieving goals.
  • Monitor the performance of strategic initiatives within your scope of responsibility. Identify deviations from targets and drive necessary changes.

 

  1. Change Management
  • Enable strategy execution by developing and spearheading key change initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate changes implemented. Provide formal, continuous communication with leadership stakeholders and Digital community on success metrics.
  • Evolve existing frameworks based on learnings during implementation.

 

  1. Communication
  • Develop key strategy updates for internal and external audiences, tailoring content and messaging by audience.
  • Manage community engagement through internal collaboration tools.
  • Support ongoing communication by preparing regular huddles and celebrating success stories in collaboration with key Digital stakeholders.
  • Support in the validation of external communication stories.

  • Design, implement and manage the Digital Talent Program.
  • Co-create and support implementation of on-going employer brand campaign to position adidas as a digital employer of choice.
  • Co-design approach for learning and training.
  • Contribute to annual Digital Experience Week and regular Digital Speaker Series.

 

  1. Ad-hoc Transformation projects
  • Manage change activities and ad-hoc transformation projects to guarantee the alignment of organization culture and strategy.

 

  1. People Management
  • Create a supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of data and team feedback and make appropriate changes in order to meet business needs.
  • Provide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and DBC objectives.

  1. Requirements
  1. Education & Experience
  • University degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of in-depth experience related to strategic projects management or similar topics – experience in management consulting or in-house strategy function a plus
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the ecosystem environment of the project area in scope
  • Experience in Finance is a plus
  • Experience working with stakeholders at various seniority levels as well as subject matter experts across various functions (Developers, business stakeholders, product and marketing teams, etc.)
  • 1-2 years of experience in leading a team

  • Proven track records on project management tools
  • Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
  • Advanced understanding of China digital ecosystems, digital architecture, analytics and relevant enablers.
  • Fluent English both verbally and written.  Chinese mandarin is a plus.
